I said this on my 'southern rock' and I'll say it here: I am not against the south nor all the people, just the bigotry some people have towards those who happen to be north of the mason dixie line and how they lump us together.

That is my "play nice" side, with all due respect.

I lived down south..I was born there. I do not currently live there, but I do know that attitudes. There is alot of change depending on WHERE you are in the South, and in some places, Southern pride has nothing to do about being arrogant or a bigot, but there are other places where thats what their idea of "Southern Pride" is rooted in, and I dare anyone to dispute that

Excuse me? I'm not a Southerner. I lived the first 40 years of my life in northern Michigan. Personal attacks work better if there is at least some kernel of truth in them.

I don't like bigotry in any form. I don't care what twisted logic is used to justify it.

note how he says "first 40 years"...it pretty much explains that for the most part...well, all of it he is not really from the south in the traditional meaning...

and if you want to get really bitchy florida is still in the northern hemisphere so he really would still be in the north...

most people can tell a southerner apart from others...in the south they can spot a midwest "accent" down to the state the person is from...its freaking amazing!

I get called Yankee far to much to be a Southerner. Actually, most people I have met from Florida don;t consider Florida part of the "South". Odd really considerding it's farther south.

well then, if you're going to continue this kind of behavior as well, you both can take equal responsibility for having this thread closed. if you have nothing further to add, don't, it's pretty simple.

seriously, if you two can't behave, then don't post. none of this "but *he* started it" childish nonsense either. you're both adults, act like it.

and yeah, this could have been done in a pm, but i want people to know why this thread is closed, and who to blame for it.
