BBQ Aftermath

I love trains. I love standing close to the tracks... or better yet, below the tracks... as a train goes thundering by. So when one came along on the tracks at the back of Jeff's highly impressive backyard, I made a dash across the yard and through the underbrush by the tracks, where I apparently had a botanical encounter of the itchy kind.

No idea... just know when I got back to the party I had little itchy/bumpy spots in a couple places... so I'm assuming it was some kind of plant I came in contact with.

Those are the sexual predator plants. And they seemed to have liked your leg!

Troy, its a plain silver ring with a small stone of some sort. Judging by the size of it, looks like a pinkie ring.

Storm, ah hell no, I went to bed and got 4 hours sleep lol. I am pretty sure the burners had water in them from washing it up a couple of weeks ago. Have to take it apart and see if I can get the water out. I don't need any more power Scotty! Flame on!

I'm sorry that we didn't make it out. But with derby tryouts in a week, I'm using as much skate time as possible.

*shakes DGN's angry fist (cause I don't shake my own)* No excuses dammit! These are rare parties which call for rare decisions! I had gotten 4 hours of sleep and then drove 11 hours straight just so I could have the party! :p LOL Ok, I'll let it go this time.

Definitely not Nettles.. those are immediate and extremely irritating like setting your skin on fire :fear:

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't even know Sasha. If Sasha were a pertinent part of my life, I'm sure that she would have understood.

I would've loved to see you, Brenda, it's been way too long... but we all gotta do what we gotta do, you can't prioritize for someone else!

I didn't know Sasha either until this weekend, but I'm glad I got to meet her.

And you do know I'm just joking with you, right? I'd never intentionally be a dick to you 'cuz I know you could kick my ass. Derby girls are tough.

We still need to have our game night, Brenda--before I move out of state.

OK, sorry for the threadjack...

You're not moving out of state, which means that I have plenty of time.

Hey all! I know this topic is so over and dead, but I've not had much internet contact since I left Detroit. I'm now back on UK ground, and for once it's amazingly hot and sunny here!!

Was great to see everyone who came to the BBQ, met lots of new people I didn't get to meet last year, and caught up with some of you that I did meet before. Thanks again to everyone for being so welcoming! Not sure when I will be coming back to Detroit again, but if any of you end up on this side of the world give me a shout
