I like this line allot...'specially the white with w streak of yellow"

Can I use that in a poem/lyric? I mean, would you mind?

Uh, sure, go for it. Words should be free anyhow. If you want to give credit that's up to you, I don't really care.

Children are generally capable of whatever is expected of them. And by "expected of", I mean "We know you can do this" rather than "We think you should do this". Big difference there that many don't get.

What you mean is "do this or you'll be punished".

And for the rest of you freaky-deaky-geeky types: Have you hugged an ignorant person today?

No, because if I do it I'll put a knife in their back to help further Darwinism.

Finally I went to kindergarten in 85... I hope things have improved since that time. I remember hating first grade, but not kindergarten which is what I'm basing my experiences on.

Public school is a bitch.

It's sad that some parents are actually like that.. I don't believe in threatening my child into doing stuff.

& Yeah.. Kindergarten is waaaaaaaay different than when any of us were kids.

The 80's were a bitch.

Fixxeded it!

Well, certainly we'll put your name (ScaryGuy) SOME WHERE...in the lyric, or liner..maybe both...

I don't remember where I get ALL my 'stolen words" but I'll remember that one ;)

That didn't work on me, I don't use it on my child. I am smart.

NOW, there IS situations where the kid NEEDS to do certain things, at his level..& he likes them...BUT, the algebra & advanced stuff he is into, is the "extra" & just for his braggin' rights at a later date ;) & he loves to sit & workout a problem with his old-man...'specially when it hinges around buying LEGO...

The problem with the 80's was that cocaine the were snortin'...amongst other things...

Cocain (includes crack)(& meth) leaves you far to busy with your own psychosis to learn to teach your kids anything except how to be douchebags...or to teach them what they hate!

Most people can't teach their kids anything anyway (other than the pain/reward system), that's what school is supposed to be for. However in the 80's that wasn't always the case.

There are newer schools that focus on a love of learning etc... and make it fun. Instead of doing things on a class level they do them on an individual level. If I could find the youtube for it I'd show you.

Charter Schools put a mass of the focus on learning is fun...secular inspired morals (I can teach about the Divine meself!)

There are points in the day when they all work together...& parts where they work alone...I like that.

The 80's gave us the first charter schools...& I was in one for a year (I moved too much) & it was pretty cool...but there was not enough of the "everybody is doing this", & too much "get in your cubicle & get to work*...

(colors are good...I've been told I look like a muffin with too many sprinkles....screw white people with insecurities. They're just projecting their unhappiness about themselves onto you guys, because you're happy being you, and show it externally as well as internally. BLAH!

A muffin with too many sprinkles??? That is soo cute. My kid would hug you she loves colorful muffins.

(she is your age)

Actually that is the focus in almost all teaching programs nowadays... there is a huge move toward brain-based, multiple-intelligence teaching methods that reach a much wider spectrum of learners than the old direct instruction/rote memorization bit. Just that larger/more fucked up districts are always slow to adopt new ideas. The intense pressure for schools to do well on standardized tests (don't get me started!) doesn't help, either, since "teaching to the test" is usually directly counter to "learning is fun" modalities.

Oh so right..this is 'cause the fun / funny parts are the peripherals...that's are also where knowledges tie to each other.

First off "kindergarten graduation commencements"? I mean what the fuck. All you do is color and nap. I don't think I've ever met anyone that failed kindergarten, ever.

Hahahaha Actually I was in kindergarten got about 3 weeks I think and they pulled me out and made me wait a year because I was too much of a kid...I cried too much. I could read at a 3rd grade level and do maths and such, but my emotional maturity was about that of a 2-3 year old. But I was born just 28 days after the cut-off, so this was when they were trying to start me in what was "technically" by their crazy definitions a year early, so I ended up starting on time. I was just usually the oldest in my class by a couple months instead of the youngest by a couple months that I would have been.

Kindergarten is more about preparing you for society than anything academic...it's more academic now than it ever was before, I'm sure, but a good deal of it is still the socializing.

But yeah so I guess I failed kindergarten.. ;)

"People are people, so why should it be, you and I should get along so awfully?"

:D :D :jamin

Rev and OMG, your kid sounds awesome. I've thought this on so many posts! I hope I get to meet him someday!
