jynxxxedangel
In many Asian countries, slurping soup is proper etiquette. In most Western countries, it is not.
Rev.Reverence
In many Asian countries, slurping soup is proper etiquette. In most Western countries, it is not. I think it's like half & half... I have manners they were instilled the old fashioned way..with painful reminders. I think it funny, that on this list here...if you scroll down to "European Table Manners"...England's entry so long...you'ld think that eternal made a post on it... That's yer' new rules Sis....or do the Welsh do THAT different as well??? Oh, yeah...I slurp, ever so slightly...as I generally do things as the "majority" of the world does things...which is probably the oddest thing about me...that I look for "normalcy" from that point of view first..Humanity as a whole, no National/Tribal interest... ..Of course, for the sake of True Politeness...I do as is accepted in a household if they are so different from my culture. I found the very best way to do this, is simply admit as to your ignorance at the onset of te event..the house head should want to teach you...peoples love to show outsiders their ways.
