Let's get a side shot of Skeletor.. I mean Lindsay...

original.jpg

Ooooo.. Sexy :ralph:

I think she needs a bra!

In the first shot, she doesn't look healthy, but I wouldn't necessarily say "too skinny." In the side shot...yeah...if your ribs are showing and you're not stretching your arms over your head you need to gain a few pounds.

I would love to be that thin, but, that's just me lol

No you wouldn't. You would look just as horrible as she does. Look at the strawlike texture of her hair- that's a sign of malnutrition.

Again, with the second one, I would love to be that skinny. It doesn't look that bad to me...but her saggy boobs - that's just sad.

The boobs are saggy because her body is burning the fat from them in a desperate attempt to fuel itself. Right, Stormy? Look at how the bones look all knobby along her shoulder line and arm... and the way her ribs stick out. No way is that healthy or even attractive. Poor little thing.

... but in the end she's a pretty uninteresting person... the story about the puppy getting flushed down the toilet is way more intriguing. Like, how did a week-old puppy get "muddy"? Of course that's according to a 4-year old so who knows.

In the first shot, her hair is covering up her ribs.. But you can see her freakin' pelvic bone

& Her face looks terrible.. She used to be so pretty.

Famous people that unhealthily thin piss Me off, because it's shit like that, that causes eating disorders, and distorted body images :verymad:

Shame on her for portraying that to the young ladies of today.

Like I said, signs of wasting...I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she started to look more and more like a walking skeleton. Watch for the eyes to sink a bit as the fat pads behind them go, and temporal wasting (fat and muscle around the temple going away, leaving more of the skull exposed on the side in leu of muscle and tissue.)

I agree OMG. It really angers me to hear so many young women expressing such negative (and false) images of their bodies (angers me on their behalf, not at them). I am so, so glad the pendulum is starting to swing the other way and more normal body types considered attractive. Nothing against anyone who is naturally slender... the willowy look can be just as beautiful as the hourglass look... but there's a huge difference between that and protruding pelvic bones & ribs, knobby elbows & shoulderblades, and collarbones that look about to rip through the skin. Not to mention the sallow skin and limp straw-y hair.

Yeah.. I was defiantly not being funny when I said she looked like Skeletor..

you know, there's really nothing wrong with that, persay, and i wish people would stop treating being skinny like it's some disease or something. there are healthy, and unhealthy ways to be skinny -

see? skinny, hip bones, but muscle and skin tone...

lindsay is an *unhealthy* skinny, kiera is not. (imo) but as skinny goes, it isn't necessarily unhealthy to see hip bones, ribs, etc... it just means low body fat.

..too skinny...I know, I'm big & an oaf of clumsy proportions...but DAMN...she looks frail.

...although..I'll agree that the ribs & hips CAN show...but I don't think that girl is much healthier than the skeleton girl...

WOW...she looks like David Bowie looks NOW. And I mean David Bowie in the present day IF he were to do nothing but sit around and freebase for a week :no. And that's just terrible.

I'm not even talking her body, yeah I guess it's a litttle on the skinny side, she's not HORRIBLY anhorrexic (sp, I know), just...HER FACE.

What's wrong with your pelvic bone showing? Unless it looks like you can play xylophone on someone's ribs, they don't have shit to worry about imo. I mean Lindsay Lohan looks bad and yes she's way too skinny, but just having the outline of your pelvis showing is NOT unhealthy, quite the opposite actually.

The only thing worse than seeing pelvic bone, imo, is NOT being able to see any bones because they're covered up by flab (at an OVERWEIGHT 160 you can see my pelvic bone, you can't now that I'm 180). Different strokes for different folks I guess, all opinion based really.

I don't think the way her abs look in the second picture is particularly attractive around the rib area, but as far as I can remember, Keira has always been extremely thin, so I am assuming that she just naturally has a high metabolism, and I wouldn't call her "too" skinny. I personally think she would be more attractive if she gained about 10 lbs, but it's not for me to decide.

Lindsay, on the other hand, was heavier and curvier years ago, so this is obviously not her natural body state, and it isn't flattering on her.

I don't think hip bones are unattractive, but I've never seen anyone whose ribcage was protruding (again, when resting, not talking about flexing or stretching) from the back who looked healthy.

I think Keira is the exception not the rule.

Look at her face.

Very healthy looking.

She may be starving herself, but it doesn't look it.

There is a certain unnamed recently banned dj from this board that is also naturally very skinny.

Yet, he is also the exception not the rule.

Unfortunately, most women aren't as naturally skinny as Keira Knightly and DO need to starve themselves,

and as a result use unhelathy practices to look worn and disgusting.

I just wanted to make an interesting observation of the people on this thread.

It seems to me that those who are striving

to be thinner are pretty much in agreement that Lindsay's weight is great (Thinspiration?)

and those who are more comfortable with themselves and their bodies think she's too skinny.

And no offense TA, because I know you are the fitness guru on DGN and know a lot more about exercise and nutrition than I do, but Anorexia IS a disease, and it afflicts millions of women every year as they strive to look like the Hollywood ideal: namely Keira Knightly and Lindsay Lohan

Once upon a time, this curvy vixen was a gawky gazelle.

A cat's age ago, someone at my high school actually reported me as having an eating disorder.

I may have had social issues at the time, but I didn't have a problem with food-- except that I couldn't get enough of it, or exactly what I wanted to eat. :hrhr:

I noticed that too but wasn't gonna say anything.

Keira's always been built like a long distance runner

Lindsay's been on the Bogota diet for a while now.

not the same thing.

Yeap, it's all frame. I used to try to be all petite and wonder why I couldn't get down to looking like, oh Keira, for instance. Then I figured out that I am a big-ass beastly woman and my frame just could not physically shrink that much. So instead of cute and small I chose to be huge and angry instead and just embraced it I guess .
