Troy Spiral (13)
ABC entertainment president Steve McPherson says his network's remake of the 1980s miniseries "V" could consist of four seasons, planned in advance, each with 13-22 episodes each. The show is planned for midseason. With all the various TV networks unveiling their fall line-ups this week, we’re getting our first look at many of the new shows for 2009. Among them: ABC’s remake of the popular ’80s sci-fi series V. For the uninitiated, the story examines what would happen if alien ships suddenly appeared above major cities and tried to make contact with humans in an apparent mission of peace. A two-and-a-half minute trailer has been released online, and you know what? It actually looks pretty decent. The new version is loaded with well-known sci-fi talent including Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet on Lost), Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin (Firefly), Joel Gretsch (The 4400), and Laura Vandervoort (Smallville). hunhee
I saw that complete mini-series on VHS at Thomas Video three days ago, and I was drooling. I knew there was talk about a remake, it will be interesting. Edited June 24, 2009 by hunhee
