Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen

Personally I thought it was better than the first as well. Critics are full of shit anymore. If its not a movie they like, they don't rate them high. Screw them, I loved the movie. Different takes on Devastator and Jetfire though. Cool to see soundwave and his minion ravage.

Finally saw it.

It was a decent movie. Amazing effects , but really... what big budget movie DOESN'T have amazing effects these days. Generally pretty poor acting (the kid wasn't so bad nor the ex secret agent guy who's name escapes me) and horrible dialog, but it was a fun popcorn movie. No reason for it to be 2 1/2 hours long though. Not like there was some dense plot or some such.

Oddly i LIKED the 900 previews they seemed to have at the beginning of it (Imagine Theater.. Novi I think) with a ton of upcoming sci fi / fantasy movies. Bunch of stuff I had no clue about on the way.

Damn, you guys are so hard to please. Not every movie is going to be top rated with everything you like lol. Just sit back and relax and watch it :p

Those were my feelings, it'll be a cool sort of a video to have on in the background. Giant robots are great, rent-a-script/plot/actor ---> booooo.

This is more braindead junk food culture for the lowest common denominator man-child.

Boycott Bay!

Boycott Bay!

These kinds of films are mind candy. Sorry but I'm not into artsy films that go nowhere. Glad to be one of the lowest common denominators. Personally I go to a movie to be entertained. Yeah that could be considered junkfood for the brain but so what. Our brains need a break, escapism into a movie is one way. If I want something I watch to teach me something, I'll watch A&E, TLC or Discovery channel. Give me mindless SciFi anytime.

Hey I thought I was fairly even handed there. I defiantly wasn't echoing the "Omg i hate the idea of it boycott it!!" thinking. I think people should see this movie if they've seen the first one and liked it.

I CAN apreciate the popcorn flicks. This one just didn't do it for me as much as some others do. I need to at least CARE what happens to the characters. Only reason I even cared about Optimus Prime was becasue I like him in the "real" transformers. If i didn't know about transformers beforehand I don't think I would have cared at all.

Action is meaningless after the first 15 minutes of gee-whiz wears off if there is no emotional investment. I don't need an amazing script for that, but I do need SOME. When it is all just cool-effects-action-sequence after cool-effects-action-sequence my mind stars to glaze over and not really care what is going on. This is coming from a guy that LOVES special effects with a passionate love. Star Trek (the last movie) is a good example. It pretty much was just a full on action movie, but there were enough pauses and such to explain / get to know the characters that I actually cared what happened to them. Batman Begins / The Dark Knight would be another good set of recent examples.

No no, you are not a Batman kind of d00d, more like Titanic kind of d00d lol.

I liked it.

Some of the stuff was a little out there, like the air field behind the Smithsonian. (which is actually some where in AZ, by the way) ugh. but other than that... I enjoyed it, and feel it is very much worth the money that was paid to see it. I would watch it again.

That's all I'm saying...
