Oh, well, we probably wouldn't get along then. Not only do I write fiction, but I creatively retell life events, keeping most of the facts true, but with embellishments to enhance effect, quite often. It's just more interesting that way. But if it comes down to a situation where the strictest honesty is required, I keep it straight and narrow. See, to me, truth is relative. Facts don't tell the whole truth, because there is some element of the inescapable filter that is our experience. Some of the coloring from these filters can give a story that is "truther" than the "truth" and tells you more than the facts ever will. I don't lie, though, except when tact demands it and the blowout from the miffed feelings is much worse than the predictable fallout from having creatively expressed approval or declining comment whatsoever, as in the 'does this make me look fat?' scenario.

Besides, what I think pisses you off really is when someone tells a lie that is obvious, apparently at first to gain your admiration, but then insults your intelligence by keeping up the charade when you have asked for clarification. Or when someone manipulates the truth to get something from you dishonestly, or, by their lies, harms you or another person close to you. And that, I agree, sucks.
