meaning that anything that is wrapped in quotes of any kind, do not show up in the emails. Whether it be some one quoting another member, or wrapping quote tags around something in a paragraph..... only the stuff written outside of the

 tags shows up. 

I asked about this on the admin forums no one seems to know what I'm talking about. I looked through all of my email notifications and every one that has quoted posts seems to look fine. They are "quoted" in the email like this:

Yes, there was, right next to the "REPORT" button under the avatar & member facts.

....also, yes, the screen is "the right size" now...

(it is shaped slightly different than before, but not an issue)

I understand now. That will be somewhat labor intensive to add. Not a huge deal, but I'm expecting a minor update to the board (from the company not from me) which will squash that sort of customization, so If I do get to it, I'll want to wait until after the minor update. I'll make a post about it on the admin forums anyway to see if maybe there is an easy plug-in or some such that I can just add without much trouble, designed by someone else.

I'm getting used to the new setup and so far seems to be working pretty well.

I've noticed that the View New Content will often miss posts that I haven't read. Not sure if it's something I'm doing, marking it read before I got to it maybe?

Maybe by the time I get back to the main page to mark things read it marks stuff that came in, in the meantime. I didn't notice that happening before the upgrade. Will there ever be a button to mark everything in all forums read? (Or maybe there is and I just haven't found it)?

Oh, I just realized:

There's no option to put in your AIM screen name, as a contact...

I've read that it is a small (fixable) bug but it will be fixed with the next (tiny) update to the software, which should be incomming within the next day or two so I'll hold off and see if it gets fixed then.

There is a "mark board as read" link at the very bottom of the website toward the left.

In terms of the key features it is pretty much the same. Just a lot of little new things. Eventually the software that DGN runs on will only be supported by the company that makes it for this newer version. Sort of a forced-upgrade like always with technology. It really is pretty much the exact same thing just with a lot of little changes. Unfortunately many of them little changes are causing me a TON of work and stress to get sorted out.

That's weird that your's would have it... I've seen one other person complain about this, in viewing her profile, which is why it made me take a look at mine to see if it was there. And it wasn't lol and it was filled in, before DGN's update.

Maybe a temporary glitch as it was working earlier.

Question: Have all the emoticons been added back into the system. There are quite a few of them that don't show on the pop-up window for me, even when hitting "see all." I can code them, but I can't see them.

Should be fixed now I think. I found an obscure setting that made it un-editable, therefore I assume made it invisible to people that had not previously (in the old version) filled that field out.

Yeah I understand. Resistance to change is universal. We are pattern seeking animals. I myself was resistant, just didn't have any real choice, it was either do it, or become unsupported in the next few months. OoOo

That'll have to go on the back burner a bit. I'll get to it eventually but it will be awhile. The donation system and the promtion / street team stuff, which is the key thing that keeps the board going still needs a ton of work, and I've not had nearly as much time online as I'd like. Due to various reasons. *shakes angry fist at health issues*

Yep. Profile> My Settings > Forum Tab > View/Posting/Email Prefs

Part of the reason I don't catch problems with that button is that I've only used it like 3 times in the 8 years DGN has been around. It is clearly having issues though. That particular one is a problem beyond my abilities. I'll put in a ticket for it.
