Gentle thoughts for today

Birds of a feather flock together and crap on your car..

When I'm feeling down, I like to whistle. It makes the neighbor's dog run to the end of his chain and gag himself.

The older you get, the tougher it is to lose weight, because by then your body and your fat have gotten to be really good friends.

The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement.

He who hesitates is probably right.

Did you ever notice: The Roman Numerals for forty (40) are ' XL.'

The sole purpose of a child's middle name is so he can tell when he's really in trouble.

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it. For example I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Did you ever notice: When you put the 2 words 'The' and 'IRS' together it spells 'Theirs.'

Aging: Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it..

The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of the roads weren't paved.

When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.

One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it is such a nice change from being young.

Ah, being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.

First you forget names, then you forget faces. Then you forget to pull up your zipper. It's worse when you forget to pull it down.

Long ago when men cursed and beat the ground with sticks, it was called witchcraft. Today, it's called golf.

Lord, Keep your arm around my shoulder and your hand over my mouth...AMEN.

Life is beautiful.

Be the best ladies and gentlemen you can be.

Remember to lend a hand when you can, to those familiar and unknown to you.

You never know how much a smile may mean to someone.

Sometimes, a smile can be just enough to get someone through their day.

Always take time to laugh and sing.

Skip when you can, whistle often, smile more.

Smell the roses.

Stare at the clouds and daydream.

Tell those that you love that you love them often.

Never go to bed angry.

Remember that each time you see somebody, it may very well be the last time.

Don't miss the opportunity to cherish them.

Never take friendship or love for granted.

Those are more meaningful than any trinket in the world.

Your house will not hold you when you are sad.

Your car will not bring you soup when you are ill.

Your jewelry will not help you clean your wounds.

Your television will not celebrate with you when you are happy.

Your loved ones and friends will.

Never forget this.

Do your best to keep your word whenever it is given.

All we truly ever own is our name and our word.

Hold both sacred.

Don't take yourself too seriously.

Life is beautiful.

Even in my dark hours of life – and I had many, I always found a reason to laugh each day.

Do the same.

Love each other.

Cherish each other.

Try to see the other persons side during a disagreement.

Never be too proud to say 'I'm sorry' when you have done wrong.

Forgive those that you can, as you would like to be forgiven.

We are all just human, in the end.

No petty disagreement is worth the loss of a dear friend or loved one.

Sometimes it's hard but then again – more often than not it's great.

Don't let the occasional frustration or hardship cause you to lose sight of the big picture, of the love and friendship held for each other.

Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.

Life is simpler, when you plow around the stump.

Words that soak into your ears are whispered...not yelled.

Forgive your enemies. It messes with their heads.

Don't corner something that you know is meaner than you.

It doesn't take a very big person to carry a grudge.

You cannot unsay a cruel word.

The best sermons are lived, not preached.

Most of the stuff people worry about, ain't ever gonna happen, anyway.

Don't judge folks by their relatives.

Remember that silence is sometimes the best answer.

Live a good, honorable life. Then, when you get older, and think back--

you'll enjoy it a second time.

Don't interfere with something that ain't bothering you any.

If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin'.

Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.

The biggest troublemaker you'll probably ever have to deal with, watches

you from the mirror, every morning.

Always drink upstream from the herd.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad

judgment.

Letting the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than putting it back

in.

If you get to thinking you're a person of some influence, try ordering

someone else's dog around.

Your's are mushy.

I like these two best - "You never know how much a smile may mean to someone." and "Skip when you can, whistle often, smile more." because I do know, I smile all the time, Smilie Ryle that's me  and well everyone know I find a reason to skip and whistle at least once a day... keeps you young!!!

I has a deep thoughts.

-Don't laugh at the kids who eat paste in 2nd grade. When they grow up, they'll probably have a big truck to run you over with and lots of guns.

-Never worry about tomorrow, for even the squirrel stores up and is content for the winter... until a buteo hawk swoops down and shreds it for an afternoon meal.

-Only a fool scorns the wisdom of a mother, unless their mother can kick the shit out of Dad and down a 5th of Jim Beam in one sitting.

-Mmmmmmmmmmmm... piping hot aromatic blueberry pie filling; As long as you don't spill it all over your groin and thighs, you're in for a treat. :yes

over and out
