Mid Summer's Expo runs from 10am to 7pm at the City Sports Center on Lafayette in Greektown. It's only $5 to get in, with free, secure, gated parking. It's family-friendly, with stuff for just about everyone.

Will there be Super Smash Brothers Brawl and will there be cash prizes...?

It doesn't specifically say that one... but it *does* say, among things,

that there is a RISK tournament (Old School!!!!!) and that the company

presenting the tournaments is World Wide Gaming, so I suppose anything is

possible.

As for prizes, the site says, among things:

"ALL guests can sign up for our super prize pack. A basket filled with comics, books collectible toys, hot wheels, and a restaurant gift card for two!

"Our 1100th paid patron will receive a comic and collectable prize pack with items from all of our sponsers and an original screen used communicator prop used in STAR TREK DEEP SPACE 9 AND win two tickets to the STAR TREK exhibit at the Detroit Science Center.

"Our 25000th paid patron will receive our SUPER MIDSUMMERS DREAM PRIZE pack, which is a 1991 CORVETTE loaded with comics and collectables, the car is a 91 CORVETTE with 40.000 miles, both tops, power everything, new tires, LT1 V8 automatic."
