Troy Spiral (13)
Yeah yeah any "realistic" space film with a talking AI (they mostly all will eventually, get used to it) the movie is 2001. The director admits it was a huge influence. Amazing reviews. Haunting soundtrack. No big explosions, no bug-eyed-monsters, no space-soap-opera, no idiot teenager saves the universe.. Psychological thriller. Looking forward to this one.

Moon follows Sam Bell, an astronaut assigned by Lunar Industries to a three-year mission mining Helium 3 on the moon, the earth's new energy source. As his contract comes to an end and Sam's health starts to deteriorate, painful headaches, hallucinations and a lack of focus lead to an almost fatal accident. While recuperating, Sam meets a younger, angrier version of himself, who claims to be there to fulfill the same three- year contract Sam started all those years ago.

Troy Spiral (13)
I think it's opening at the Main Art very soon Fortunately for some, unfortuantely for us folk that live on the other side of the planet. Several of the "big huge theater" pitches that they gave to the local community over here was that they would have space/time (lol) for more independent films and such, in practice it just means they have 4 X viewings of whatever the big picture of the week is. GRR.

jane dazzle
I liked it, but it left me with one question...... Who was this girl he seen sitting in the chair and right before he crashed? Was she just a hallucination? I am really excited about the trailer for the movie Thirst that I seen when I went to see Moon. I can't stop thinking about it. I have heard great things about it's director.
