Big Hallowen bash

So I was talking with some friends today about a few local bands, dj's, event promoter's, dancers, etc. What if we planned a big Halloween party this year, had 3 bands with a headliner, different dj's spinning, some decent catering, a spooky fun location, and so forth? I know there are usually parties here and there but why not combine them into one big event so people dont have to drive all over the place? There are so many people in the Detroit scene that could really lend their talents in this area. Maybe this is going on already and I'm not aware. I am getting old and all. In any event, plase give me your thoughts and feedback on this idea. Perhaps, it could have a specific theme, bring out the vamps blood wrestling, zombies, hang slabs of meat from the rafters. Give me some ideas and thanks for contributing.

..I was planning a small type thing...but, I could be convinced to A). scale down; & B). move the party at kiddie bed time (yup, I'll leave 1 stout ninja to watch the tribe's young..probably the poorest or me if there is no other.)

A haunted local would be much more fun, I think. I already requested the holiday off, so I'm game for Samhain fun.

I just spoke with the manager at Blondies and we could set something up there for Friday the 30th or we could find a Saturday location somewhere. I know people get annoyed traveling from one place to the next, why dont we pull everyone together for a big bash? Maybe CC or somewhere else? What would be convenient for everyone? If we do something, we gotta start planning now.

I emailed Bella Morte, Cruxshadows, and Cult of the Psychic Fetus about the party. Hopefully, we'll be able to bring in one of these bands for the event. I need feedback people. What about the Bat society people, a fetish show based on a Halloween/horror theme, a black and white horror movie screen set up, fire eaters, pin the tail on the DJ, food, blood wrestling, games, come on people give me some ideas here. We could do it for a good cause, homeless, abused children, preservation of the bats in MI.

There are lots of events around that time, and people may have to choose due to costs and what not. Take into consideration Theatre Bizarre, The Erotica Ball, The Damned Art Exhibit and such. This is why Oblivion is waiting to put their own next big show up in November. Of course, those events draw a lot of the same crowd as ours. In fact, we are performing at one, at the least.

Well, I got Blondies for the evening on Friday the 30th if anyone wants to set something up at this point. I've also got another possible thing in Pontiac maybe but I'm waiting to here back. Let me know if any of you are interested in being part of something on a Friday even. I just wanna bring everyone together for a fun party.
