Kaikai
Alright, so I know a lot of us are foodies, myself definitely included. And I know in our web wanderings sometimes we come across something that looks awesome. I also know that sometimes, when I cook, I take pictures of the dish and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I also know that I'm a fat chick and food makes my world go 'round. So let's see 'em. The food that makes YOU drool. Bonus points for an included recipe. :D

pomba gira
I just now noticed the mouse... what the hell, pretend it's made out of marzipan or something. Edited August 3, 2009 by pomba gira

Kaikai
Salty caramel spilled-all-over cheesecake. Yeah baby. Sorry for the huge. Edited August 3, 2009 by Kaikai
Kaikai
A lamb steak rubbed with a rosemary and black pepper seasoning. The steak is served on top of rosemary hash-brown sweet potatoes deglazed with tarragon vinegar. The plate was garnished with a lemon rosemary vinaigrette. pomba gira
Grilled salmon... sockeye, not that flavorless farm-raised Atlantic/silver crap. And I do prefer steaks to fillets. The recipe pictured uses "asian sauce" and pineapple, but I just marinate it in olive oil with tarragon, dill weed, and pepper for about a half hour. I think with salmon less is definitely more. pomba gira
I've got a thing for cute foods. I love those fancy bento... I understand Japanese moms get really competitive about making them for their kids. I like that sushi artist, too... the one who does the Van Gogh paintings in sushi. jynxxxedangel
I started a bento thread on here someplace, a long time ago. Someone should dig it up. Anyway, here is what I am eating for supper, as I write. This is what it looked like, when it first came out of the oven: ..and here is what it looked like plated up, before I drowned it in salsa: A frittata is pretty much like a quiche, but without a crust. This particular frittata contains bacon, Yukon Gold potatoes, Spanish onion, cream cheese, and a bit of fresh chopped parsley.

It looked soooooo good, I just had to snap a pic! A big tray of homemade banana pudding that I made. I was eating this stuff for a week! I have many, many more. Will post them, as I dig them up. jynxxxedangel
Roast pork loin chops, in sour cream and onion gravy. This was realllllly good, as I recall. I'm making myself hungry. My famous chicken avgolemono (chicken lemon rice) soup: I could eat this stuff at least once a day. And for you dessert lovers, here are some snickerdoodles I made around Yuletide: Seriously, folks. Y'all should drop in more often. There's nearly always something good cooking over here.
