Project Pitchfork Live?

Recommended Posts

So on the myspace they state that the Detroit show is Sept 1 with venue tba. Anyone have any info on this yet?

Prolly not going to happen as the band wants wayyyyy too much money for performance fees (Seriously, you could pull off a festival with several bands for the price they alone are asking!).

Tickets would be upwards of like $35 and you'd be seeing hem at a venue smaller (pun intended) than St. Andrews.

Don't feel bad. Promoters in other cities have also passed on booking them as well, causing the band to cancel all but one date (of what was supposed to be many) on the West Coast.

Pitchfork is a classic example of a band who needs to realize touring the United States is far different from touring/playing large festivals in their native Germany. While they may be HUGE in Germany, those guys need to forget the nightliners, big venues, huge performance fees, separated m&m's, backstage areas, etc... and simply get in a van and plow their way through the USofA... for their fans. Covenant, VNV, Imperative, Combi have all toured in vans early on. Even Front 242 after many successful years on Wax Trax and then Epic did exactly that - rented a van and hit the road... ironic thing is the band who opened for them on the tour before that was... Project Pitchfork
