jynxxxedangel Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 (edited) This is a female Argiope aurantia, or Banana Spider. Some folks call them a writing spider, as they create little zigzags in their webs. The "writings" are visible in the UV spectrum, and are believed to keep birds from flying through their webs.
