wilhelm k
Inquiring minds would like to know... Would anyone out there like to go to a different 80's night on Thursdays? A night where you hear: Cure songs other than "just like heaven" Depeche songs other than "enjoy the silence" & "personal pan pizza" The Pixies AFTER 10:30 only 1 or 2 madonna, michael jackson, prince, etc songs a night DK or the misfits faith no more, priest,or some other metal tears for fears songs other than "shout" ??? We are debating starting a new wave/80's night that leans towards the alternative side of things. What do you guys think? Troy Spiral (13)
Sound interesting. You can always find support for a "alternative to the normal alternative" but the problem is keeping it running long enough to make a go of it and gather a following. Its a noble effort, just a difficult one. Many have come and gone over the years. I know it can be done, it just seems to take some extreme Lazer-Beam like intensity and focus from the orginizational side to have it stick around. the eternal
OK, I'll do it. But I need you to open with this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJYjr-vUKZM&feature=related And then when it's the bewitching hour and everyone needs to leave, don't scare them away with bad 90s rap-metal (although, come to think of it, that may not be a bad idea) gently show them out the door with my cousin Earl

TheOsakaKoneko
I'd definitely give it a go. Truth be told I freakin love standard Thursday 80s night...lots of bad music but fun old beloved bad music so it's like...good memories...but this would be more inherently fun. You already know how much I love this music, so of course I'd go. I'd probably still miss the one week a month or whatever it is when the "other 80s place" has their floor show, because those are sweet as all hell, but in general this would be very cool.
