d:konstruct
Cult movies... I love them. The more twisted and bizarre, the better. It is hard these days to go to a video rental place unless you like around Royal Oak and rent a good one. who likes them? What are some of your favorites? Who would be interested in getting together once a month or bi weekly, or at a club in town to watch them, drink, eat, and just hang out? I can and will supply them. I have access to many. here are a few of my favorites: A Clockwork Orange Nekromantik Der Todespeil Erasurehead Blood Sucking Freaks Salo August Mordum The Howling Troll Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original, not those crappy remakes) Evil Dead Return of the Living dead pt 1 (the best soundtrack) Caligula Red Neck Zombies well, is there any other sick like minded cult movie goers out there? Aside from anything Asian (hate Asian cinema) If you were planning to do this at a house it would depends on where it is, if you were gonna do it at a club, I would suggest checking out deadline for 2 reasons... 1, I DJ there so im already there haha, and 2, we usually have a huge projector showing movies, and at least 5 of the movies you listed have been shown at deadline events. bav
Are you thinking about classic cult movies (which I'll suggest Attack of the Killer Tomatoes & Plan 9 From Outer Space) or are you thinking also bad movies that are fun to mock? Lilly420
Movie nights are always fun great way to meet people and expand your movie horizons. I love a lot of cult and underground films, but I haven't seen many. I used to host a movie night at my house every week. I would have to clean the basement and everything, but I might not be opposed to having some people over for movies once/month. The only problem with movie nights is that the host has to lay down rules and the people coming NEED to follow them or else there are problems - that's why I stopped mine :/ Also, my basement cannot comfortably hold many movie watchers.
