dragonluv
Hello Everyone, I hope all is well. I join DGN in March of this year. I came back out of the coffin that I am Goth. For me, it was a journey. So many people here, were so friendly when I joined. Through time, I got to meet so many wonderful people and gain new friends. I am sharing my story, to help address a critical alert. I cannot emphasize this enough. This is a very serious matter!!!!!! DGN is close to having the coffin lid be shut FOREVER. DGN needs help. Donations are getting very dry. In the thread of donations, it states the current balance of funds. That amount is $45.00. http://www.detroitgo...showtopic=15673 Donations are needed to keep DGN alive. Please donate any amount you can afford. For five dollars a month, which is around $1.25 a week, can help support DGN. The moderators and Troy do A LOT to keep DGN alive. As most people know, the moderators and Troy, do not receive a penny, for their time and work they give for DGN. A huge thanks to each moderator and Troy, for all of their hard work. Sadly, this work will mean nothing if DGN closes for good. Please help DGN before DGN Rest in Peace. If you have any questions or concerns, please free to respond to this post or PM me. Thank you for reading. If I may, hugs. Kind Regards, april p.s. I realized that I spell the word, critical, wrong in the Subject. I did not catch it soon enough. My apologies. Raev
It's true. A good handful of donaters have had to stop doing so, which is understandable in these tough times. I just signed up to donate monthly to help.

A good handful of donaters have had to stop doing so, which is understandable in these tough times. I just signed up to donate monthly to help. Very good point. I can understand hard times. I am not working at the moment. I quit my job due to my dad health. I am trying to find employment. It just that I need a job that is flexible. That is a challenge. Sadly, my rental property is not helping out as much as I need it. Thank you for signing up. Hugs. Troy Spiral (13)
Thanks for making this post dragonluv. With a combination of the little bit that is in the DGN "bank" and the fact that we are still in the hole every month. In about 2 (maybe 3) months at the current rate, DGN will shut down if there are not a few more significant new donations.

taysteewonderbunny
I hope to be a regular contributor in the near future, but until I have regular employment, I can not. When I do, I hope to make a small donation beginning with my second paycheck. I've already promised that I would by Gothkytten a drink at City Club and my mom a nice bottle of Dewar's with the first. Leland City Club
. We at Leland CITY CLUB would like to thank Troy and all of the mods for keeping DGN a FUN community. We value DGN and the good people who enjoy this community. We will continue to support DGN, and encourage everyone in the community to contribute what you can, when you can, to help keep DGN viable. Troy has made it very easy to donate whatever works best for you, a 1 time donation of ANY amount, or $5 or $11/month as a continuing monthly donation. Troy has the hope that "Hopefully DGN is worth 17 cents a day." If you value DGN and all that it offers you, than much like PBS, you need to show your support to keep it going. What DGN needs is for as many active users to contribute as much as they can in these difficult times on an ongoing basis. That would put DGN in a much better financial situation going forward. Leland CITY CLUB challenges ALL event promoters, venues, and djs to step up and help out DGN. Leland CITY CLUB thanks u Troy for creating this community ! ! ! We join in Troy's hope that DGN is worth 17 cents a day to you, if it is, please contribute to keeping DGN alive and strong for many years to come. . My paychecks have been very small...its very sad but they are cutting hours. I hope it helps. Long live DGN <3 Another donation!! Yay!!!! DGN found me in March of 2008. Before DGN, I had no experience with similar entities, and didn't even really know they existed. "What? An organized, thought provoking, inspiring, idea sharing, social network? Hmmmmmmm, well let me just give this DGN thingy a try" I said. Oh......my.......goodness!!!!! I loved it from the moment I started, and being a part of DGN has changed my life in so many fantastic ways. Beyond gaining a wealth of new, wonderful, completely beautiful, and exciting friends, it was via DGN that I met Nightgaunt. And as my silly ass tears up, words here could never be enough to explain what this has meant to me. So when I say that DGN has changed my life forever, and ALL for the better, I'm not overstating a thing! I know we are in hard times, so anything given at all is immensely appreciated. We can't let DGN die out!! I've been fortunate enough to be able to give in the past, and I will continue to give when I can. I'm not trying to sway anyone from sliding money from one area to place it in another (**Runs up to Leland, and smothers in hugs and kisses!!**), but just to make a point, for those of us who go out clubbing or to any bar and drink, the financial equivalent of having even just one drink could be that monthly contribution that would help DGN out so much! This truly is a beautiful place to be! Troy and all the mods work their fannies off to keep this a fun and respectful place, and I bow to them with great reverence and adoration for all the work they do! I know it takes a lot of time, and effort, and it is all very much appreciated.

Leland City Club
. Thanks dragonluv, We at Leland CITY CLUB hope more people who use and value this community will step up and give what they can in these very difficult financial times. This community will be as strong as its users make it, or not. Those of you who have not done your share yet should do something NOW ! ! ! Those who have contributed are truely DGN water bearers, and should be thanked. Leland CITY CLUB challenges ALL venues, promoters and dj's to step up and help DGN out NOW ! ! ! In the end, DGN will go forward and be as strong as its users will make it. Do you value DGN, the friends you have made, and the good times you have shared? If you do value DGN, please support as best as you can.
Leland City Club
. Troy and the MODS can only do so much. Do the people who make up this fantastic community truly value it ? As hard as it may be to even consider, DGN could go offline. What would we do without DGN there to keep us informed, make us laugh, or help us make new friends ? I hope Iam not beating a dead horse here. PLEASE SUPPORT DGN NOW or it may not be here later.
Troy Spiral (13)
Thank everyone for the kind words, very touching. We have had a few additional donations which is awesome, still not "out of the woods" yet unfortunately. I heard, thought the grapevine a few comments, negative toward myself in terms of why I dont just "pay for it myself". Unfortunately, despite having sunk a lot of my own treasure into the place, the treasure pile is no longer there. Despite that I still squeeze out the $11 a month one way or another. Brenda Starrr
Once we get the trailer, and paint the inside, and move, we can afford to donate again. As it stands right now, money's tight. If it wasn't for DGN, I wouldn't even BE here. And whomever wants to help paint and move, feel free. Ratsel
BRING A DONATION BOX/CAN TO CITY CLUB AND KEEP IT WITH ONE PERSON FOR THE DGN GROUP ONLY. NOT LIKE WALKING AROUND LIKE A PAUPER, BUT IT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER FOR SOME MEMBERS TO DONATE WHEN THEY HAVE MONEY IN THIER WALLET, AND SO ON. PLUS....ITS LIKE A BIOLOGICAL AFFECT....ONE PERSON GOES FOR IT, THEN THE NEXT, THEN THE NEXT. just a wee thought
