Homicidalheathen
Three people were shot - a nine-year-old boy fatally - early Sunday morning at 535 S. 23rd in Saginaw.Thomas made no attempt to hide his outrage over Saginaw becoming "the kind of place where an innocent, small child can't even sleep in his bed on a beautiful fall day without losing his life." Thomas said the gunman forced his way into the house. Preliminary evidence suggests Devin was asleep when the shooter opened fire on him. "This goes way over the top, to see a 9-year-old child murdered in ways we can't discuss today," Thomas said. "Whoever did this is someone we need to get off the streets as quickly as possible. "The people of Saginaw need to be fed up. They need to say enough is enough. We have absolutely gone beyond the time when citizens can accept the situation." Two other people, a 35-year-old man and 29-year-old woman whom police have not named, were critically wounded. Police said none of the victims were related. The home owner, one of the injured adults, is a friend of the boy's family. Saginaw County tax records show Barnell Amos owns the house. Technicians from the state police Crime Lab remained on the scene late Sunday, searching for evidence. Saginaw police detectives were to man the tip line round-the-clock. Neither Thomas nor Saginaw Police Chief Gerald H. Cliff would discuss the details of the investigation. "I want to echo the urgency of this investigation," Cliff said. "We won't leave until we've exhausted every lead. We are going to work this case as diligently as possible, devoting every resource. Anyone who knows anything, we want to hear it." Anyone with information about the gunman should call the Saginaw Police Department at (989) 797-5436 http://www.mlive.com/news/saginaw/index.ssf/2009/09/fourth-grade_student_gunned_do.html Edited September 22, 2009 by Homicidalheathen
