It's not over yet! I hold in my hand a pack of Djarum Black "Filtered Clove Cigars" .. They come in packs of 12 and are hardly different from clove cigarettes. They had the cherry, vanilla, and splash flavors in the same manner, as well.

I bought 2 packs off the bat.

Note: Many stores still have the occasional pack of cloves left... I've been stocking up.

Torn: In response to the it's my life and I'll fuck it up comment. I disagree with using the taxpayers dime so much that I'd die in my home rather than seek medical treatment if I didn't have insurance. (Currently, I have insurance, so my stomach can kill me long before the cigs do.) I also don't smoke around people if they don't want me to, hell I don't typically even smoke in the house. I smoke at bars that allow smoking.

If it's true that one cig gets you 7 minutes closer to death. I may have cut out half a year... Maybe a quarter of a year. I'm quite serious that my body will find a way to kill me off sooner.

Hmmm...I'll have to check those out. Sounds like they just changed the packaging. Or, are the wrappers different?

They have them by me! They taste virtually identical. The 12-pack makes it easier to pick them up to go to the club and not feel like I'm overspending, too.

I just want to make sure here, but does everyone get the big picture here? It's going to come down to a ban on cigarettes and tobacco products all together. Force people to quit smoking, and their universal healthcare system might stand a chance. Then they will regulate the food we eat and soon, we will have no more freedoms. There will be no more overweight unhealthy people because the government will make sure we are eating exactly what they think is best for us. Ya know.. They're just watching our back.. Right??

Soulrev--

We may as well be the crazy kooks who stand out on Woodward, yelling into the wind. Nobody else seems to get it. I'm beginning to feel like I'm pissin' up a fekkin' ROPE, trying to warn my fellow Americans about these hidden political agendas. I know that someday, it will be folks like us saying "I told ya so!"

..that is, if we aren't thrown into prison, for speaking out against The Machine.

And for those of you who don't like to smoke or eat junk food, it will be something else that affects YOUR lifestyle, soon enough, if those things are allowed to be stamped out by the government. After all of the physically "unclean" stuff is gone, what's next? Our collective mental health, of course. Are you all ready for mass censorship and restrictions placed upon our media, our entertainment, our clothing?

Well, I guess that's all this crazy old coot has to say for now. I must get back to knitting sweaters out of cat hair, and trying to hear the radio signals coming in through my fillings.

Government is an evil destructive force, run by unfit corporations run by asshole CEO garbage that want you to bow down to them and decide what your opinions should be,unless you can escape this force and live free in another land, the only other way out is suicide, which they will stop so they can keep you alive and make you suffer.only the drones will say everything is ok,but us people who know whats going on will be the ones that can hopefully stop this bs from destroying the earth, moon and possibly the universe.

Government is supposed to be run by the people who vote not the other way around!

I am always slowly preparing for Anarchy, but I believe it is the eventual end result of government... Too much power will always corrupt and it may not even be my generation that the state of anarchy will come down on, but I honestly believe it will. I just don't voice my opinion because everyone already thinks I'm crazy enough.

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
    • You can trust anyone you want.  The only question is whether or not they're deserving of that trust. No risk = no reward.  As such you have to let yourself be vulnerable sometimes and realize that all people will let you down eventually whether it's intentional or not.  The frequency that it happens is what's important.
    • Sorry, I don't check this as often as I should. Anyway document everything (although it sounds like @Trene4000already has been from her post.) It's okay to cry and break down, but not in front of them.  Never give them the satisfaction of seeing you crack.  If anything I'd go out of my way to piss them off, but I don't like being that guy either (and as such I'm not very good at it, except sometimes when I'm not intending to be.) I try to only help those whom deserve it, but that's often hard to judge.  Seeing how someone treats other people is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they're worthy.  Sociopathic narcissistic asshats are very much not worthy. I hope things are going well for you guys.
