Check this out:

Grand Jury Deposition, from April 4th, 1977

This is very graphic, and disturbing...so if you're of a sensitive nature, I suggest you steer away.

Equally disturbing, aside from this man's paedophilia, is the testimony of the little girl. She was obviously old beyond her years-- being very familiar with drinking, drugs, and sex, at age 13.

I frankly think he needs to serve his time but the Swiss authorities could have arrested him a bit sooner and not made it so high profile. He had been in Switzerland numerous times during the summer, but the pick the day he's in country to receive a lifetime achievement award to arrest him. The did it at a time that would cause the most embarrassment possible, which is why all the crazy Hollywood folks are up in arms. Hell, Whoopi Goldberg said that it wasn't "rape rape" even though the girl was only 13 years old. People in Tinsel Town need their heads checked.

There should be no grey area in this, the girl was 13 and was saying "no", that's that. He should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I can't believe there are people who are defending him. It's not even grey area such as, if it was like this, where the girl was maybe like 17, had no drinks and was consensual. I could MAYBE, and that's a BIG maybe, see why people might then push for a lighter charge....but 13, drunk, and saying "no"? Like I said, doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Did you all hear about the petition signed by Woody Allen, David Lynch and Martin Scorsese demanding Polanski's release? Give me a break. Polanski deserves to get his dick ripped off. Rape is rape.

Anything signed by Woody Allen shouldn't mean squat seeing as he's married to his adopted daughter.

I'm confused.... Where were the girls parents? She really thought she'd get on French Vogue topless? The inital reason for her being over is retarded.

I've wondered the same thing myself, but it was the 70's and people were a lot more trusting than we are now.

punish him to the fullest extent. Though I think the original judge and/or prosecutor should have some punishment as well. If they offered a plea bargain and refused to hold up their end of it it would be a very monarchist attitude toward justice. I think the medeival French did that.

im my experance its the prosecutors whom offer the plea deals. the judge may or may not choose to uphold it. most of the time they do but on certain cases they will deny what ever was offered and sentence what ever they deem nessacery to the extent of the law.

So if he did it then he should pay the price.... what i dont get is why now? why after 30 years?
