DGN THANKSGIVING (unofficial)

Recommended Posts

Everyone saying Beanternal, makes me think, what about Eternalbean? Makes it sound like some sort of holy object also turned into a bad B movie... Eternalbean, the forever cup of coffee!!!!

Sounds like the next Slogo production. Let's do it!

What a wonderful, perfect evening. It was so good to see everyone... and it's not often I get to see a movie that makes Plan 9 From Outer Space look like Citizen Kane. My only regret is not snagging more of the ribs when I had the chance!

And I STILL can't believe I'd never met Raev before... but I'm glad I got to, anyway.

Thanks to EternalBean for their awesome hospitality!

Did I miss you?

No. I remember sitting at her feet and you were on the other couch right across from me.

Thanks Bean and Eternal for hosting such a wonderful event! You guys are awesome!

We had a fantastic time with everyone! This has been one of the best Thanksgiving holidays I've had. I got to spend Wednesday, and Thursday with both my birth family, and my DGN family. Such fun!

The cakes, the pies, the deviled eggs, the rice, the veggies, the mashed potatoes!! :w00t: Oooooooo, my belly!!! And just when I couldn't eat anymore, Hunhee brings the most wonderfully seductive and full of sin chocolate cake. Giggity-giggity!! You know I found some room after that!! My pants feeling tighter the next day was alllll worth it!

On top of the food, we got to see some cheesetastic movies! Thanks StormKnight! I can't believe I never saw Flash Gordon before! That movie was a blast, lol And it brought out one of the best lines I heard from that night which came from Spook.....something like, "He may have just made a touchdown, but I want to see him score." lol I could try to set up the scene, but I would ruin it, so you just have to watch it. Flash is worth it!! Watch it, love it, BEEEEEE IT!!

In the basement I was part of the clan that watched Buckaroo Bonzai, which is stuffed full of one liners like "negative mass propulsion," and I do believe the word "oscillator" was used about a thousand times :) And during the movie, we could all hear the terrified screams of the Blood Freak movie upstairs, which was hilarious! Pomba, if that movie makes Planet 9 look good, I really do need to see it! lol

And the cherry on top of the night was The Eternal in his turkey hat  There were times when I was sitting on the floor, and all I could see was the hat moving around, lol, like a Tom and Jerry cartoon~rock!

We were so happy to see everyone, and had an absolute blast! :fun:

XOXOXO

Now that I've got computer access.. I just have to say, that this was a WONDERFUL event. Thank you BeanTernal for hosting such a lovely evening. I'm glad that my "Better Than Moderate Sex Cake" was enjoyed. I certainly took advantage of it, AND the Seven Layer Tortilla Pie.. HOLY CRAP that was like Mexican Crack! DELICIOUS!!! I also had the honour of trying the wonderful moose pie made by TWB, umm... Recipe swap is definitely in order!!!!

Buckaroo Banzai is the SHIT!! and I'm sorry that I missed Flash Gordon (although, I've seen them all before, I do love seeing some movies over and over again).

Other than that, It was a joy to see many of you outside of the club. I love more relaxing settings like this. Thanks again!!!
