Yeah, let's just say I didn't get it. The position had been filled. But I was still on the list. They'll call me because something MIGHT be opening up in the future. What the fuck. Why in the hell won't anyone hire me? I have excellent skills, I'm great at communicating, good with customers. I'm a damn dream. Fucking assholes. But I can't be a dead beat forever, right? Somebody out there's gotta hire me eventually? Damn bullshit. =(

edit: And just in case someone missed it, the job was a full time year round position at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island as a secretary. I would have moved up there till October and then moved back to Lansing. Work there for six months and then move back up to the Island. Good pay and benifits too. This job could have opened up everything for me.

Sorry to hear about that....the job market is such a pain in the ass. I work at pfizer and they're doing some major job slashing in most of thier departments worldwide. Right now I'm hoping my job doesn't get slashed out the door.

Yah I know what you mean. It is a very depressed area I don't care what anyone says and we are still in a recession seems to me.

I have a hard time find and keeping work. I have physical limitations but it seems employers are out to exploit you for all your worth these days and with no medical benfits.

I just started a job selling advertising space for a news papper. Also I've started a part time cerear in politics. see what happens on straight commision.
