taysteewonderbunny
Perhaps. Not incredibly likely though. Too bad I don't live farther away from the city, or else I would get up to see it.
Troy Spiral (13)
Most of the Detroit suburbs are locked in a big light pollution zone unfortunately. It is a solid hour+ drive to get anywhere with reasonably darkened skies. I'm a big astronomy buff but actual "observational astronomy" of some types is difficult around here. That said I stood outside for about an hour and saw a few despite the bad light pollution in Westland. (Just now past peak time of 3-5 am Eastern Time) The Leonids expected to "peak" nov 17th you can still see them a few days before/after to much less effect. In 2001 these were really a good showing. Various showers happen at the same time every year due to the crossing of the earths orbit across the orbits of comets. The comets leave "dust trails" which we see as "shooting stars" (fragments of matter burning up in the earth atmosphere)

Homicidalheathen
it was waaay to hazy in roseville for anything to be visable last night. Dark and hazy, way to many city lights...I wish I could sneak a telescope to the big hill at stoney for this.
