What do YOU want to hear the DJs spin?

The version of "Evil" on the single is the best one.

The Droyds' mix of "Seventeen" wouldn't be too shabby, either. I have that single and that's the best version of that song.

Speaking of "Seventeen", I wonder if some smart-allecky DJ out there has made a mix track of Ladytron's and X-Marks' versions? I bet it would be entitled "Thirty-Four"

I know this thread is a bit older but I hope CC on sat may 8th we could hear HOPEFULLY "Fetish Decay" by Dawn of Ashes, and maybe some Nachtmahr... :)

WHOA! Amazed that someone actually likes Dawn Of Ashes and more amazed that the track you are requesting dates back to a non-label demo from 2005 versus newer material. Decent track and I would certainly consider playing it if I can find the demo. Sadly Dawn of Ashes (who already sounded like so many of the Psyclon Nine clones) has turned to complete crap since signing to Metal Blade and going full on black metal. Anywhos...

Nachtmahr gets a lot of play at the club and expect even more as people are putting the music and the band name together and there's plenty of kick ass track from them to choose from.

Thanks for the request.

Sex Pistols, Ramones, The Clash, Emily Autumn, Drop Kick Murpheys, The Damned, More Revolting Cocks like steers beers and queers.

Several of these are Excellent suggestions for old school night.

Never quite understood the appeal of Emily Autumn, but if somebody offers me an appealing $20 I'd consider playing her... or you might want to ask another CC DJ.

be well

I find that the things I write on the request sheet are generally well received....

(of course, I almost never request songs. I don't spend much time on the dance floor, I am generally there to be a social butterfly or sit and listen to music I'd probably not hear elsewhere).

Someone should play "get on my horse" because it sounds like 75% of the synthpop bands out there, lmao. or is it "look at my horse"?

Also...if someone ever played any song by "The Locust" to clear the floor, I would be happy. Not goth/industrial at all, but it would be funny...

I have played So Sure and Alone She Cries at Something Cold...

No need to over convince me...I've been expecting to attend for half a month <3

I'll save some Xmal Deutschland requests for there as well

Haha, awesome. I actually get Xmal (as well as other early 4AD stuff) requested quite often from some regulars.

I think for the most part the DJ's are on cue. I would however like to hear "Effigy (I am not an)" by Ministry, some more Factory Records (Section 25, Crispy Ambulance, etc), more Front 242, Frontline Assembyl some Fixmer and McCarthy and since we are on newer music, Kill Memory Crash!!!! Other than that I love what the CC DJ's are spinning!

Again, Something Cold man. You'll hear a shit ton of Factory stuff as well as plenty of old Ministry. We love our Tony Wilson! Pre-rave business, my friends.

    • So I just got back from Happy Endings and I saw @DJ Saintthere.  He told me that after I got kicked out of High Dive that later on Mike also attacked him, and Mike and his crew were also kicked out.  Then we talked about the scene and possible upcoming gigs.  I hope something comes his way soon, as well as mine too.  With the current economy I think more club owners will be hungry to try more things like goth/industrial/other alternative nights.  I've also heard that GenZ isn't online dating and is actually going out into the world to meet people which may also help business owners, though they aren't drinking which doesn't really help much.  I think more places are going to need to start serving food and mocktails to make up the difference. Then Mike showed up at Happy Endings which I thought was highly likely because I hadn't seen him there in a while, and @DJ Aaron Hingst,@elektrosonik, and his husband Tim were all there too.  He did something else I wasn't expecting...  Which was he actually shook my hand and said it was good to see me, which caught me a little off guard.  He didn't apologize for anything but it's a start I think.  I told him I was sorry to hear about @djpleasurekitten's passing (which I was/am.  Despite the rift that ended up existing between us we were friends at one point.) So maybe he's moving on finally?  If so then I'm glad.  I'm still not sure if I'll ever go back, but it is at least a start, and it's nice to actually see he's trying to bury the hatchet in something other than my skull.
    • Stargate Universe, which everyone said sucked but I'm actually enjoying it? Like there are less jokes, but lots of dark humor, and people might actually die rather than have 10ft thick plot armor?  Yes please more of this!
