Ladies and Gentleman - The Van of Doom might be for sale!

Recommended Posts

Yes, the coveted and highly flexible VoD might be up for sale.

My dad is offering me his newer van (VoD2!!) but first I have to see if anyone wants mine. I've gotten a couple bites already on Craigslist but I wanted to see if anyone here is interested too. Details:

Burgundy with gray interior. Power steering, windows and locks. A/C works. Clean, well maintained (While I've had it) and runs very reliably. New starter, battery and recently replaced front tires. Front brakes replaced this year. No radio, spare or passenger airbag installed. ( I have the airbag.) Minor fluid leaks. (Add a little oil and trans fluid once a month, or so)

$1250

VoD 2.0!?

Indeed. My dad has a Honda Odyssey he'll sell me cheap if he doesn't get any offers for it by this coming weekend. It will have luxuries compared to VoD-1. It has more miles too, but it's a Honda and I know it's history so that's OK.

Mike - I think not. Which doesn't mean there won't be things to fix, but it's in much nicer shape to begin with.

What's the make (I remember you mentioning it's a Chrysler), model and mileage Marc? Leaving out important stuff here!!

Our engine blew up (it appears) in our Silhouette. We are down to one car (with 6 people, one car doesn't work).

We've been lucky, my mother is off work on disability for her arm surgery still, so I have been using her car (07 Malibu) but it goes back to her next week.

Then I go down to South Carolina and have to figure out something before school starts back up again.

95 Dodge Caravan. 178,000 miles. It works remarkably well for the mileage. It's not car I would take on long trips but it's fine for shorter trips and commuting.

We still have the Mazda, we need another vehicle just for around town and Phee to get to work ... if indeed the engine is blown in the Silhouette. Probably not worth replacing the engine.

The Silhouette has been sitting in Tim's (guy I used to work for, who lives across the street from my parents) backyard since it broke down on Phee in Royal Oak on the way to the Skinny Puppy show. We've been trying to get ahold of him about it, 'cuz we kinda NEED it, but I guess he doesn't know what is wrong with it yet (which is unusual for him).
