Local NYE '10 events

I've been searching all over the net, looking for a decent place to spend NYE, this year-- without much luck! It seems like nobody is advertising their events! I find it difficult to believe there are no local places that will have a buffet, DJ or live band, drink specials, and a champagne toast at midnight!

If anyone knows of any good CATERED, themed events (preferably with a formal dress code) to go to, please post them here!

I know that Webbers INN in Ann Arbor has one every year.

And its not that expensive.

You get dinner, dancing and the hotel stay for 250 for 2 people i think.

I'm not sure what their rates are but you can check.

We were going to have a NYE party for people who don't go to CC at my house but Pestilence thinks it's a bad idea because he feels as though with direct competition from CC that our party would bomb.

Thanks for the suggestion, Poppet...but that's just a bit out of our price range, this year.

Yeah, Cherny...I had thought of having a shindig here, as well-- but I'm also sure nobody would show up, because it is club night, and I am so far away from most of the gang.

If you guys are having something I'm sure the ones that want to show up will, and that's all it should matter.. Friends getting together for a good time.

The only problem is having enough DD's for people who are thinking about drinking that night.

Also I would be a lil scared to drive home the same night because people do drink and drive.

Safety is my issue.

Val and I just got rol-a-way beds for future parties, so you really can just sleep over, but I work until midnight on NYE.
