I would love to sit here and say that I'd feel comfortable with someone under the age of 14 watching this film. Sadly, I don't. Alot of people being riddled with bullets, a lot of people dying and bleeding. At one point, one of the No'vi horses are running through the forrest, on fire. Also, there is an intimate scene. Neither get naked, but its VERY sensual, and can't be mistaken for anything other than what it is. Its a beautiful film, but the action part isn't appropriate for the young ones. When I saw the film, there were a few kids in the theatre, and as soon as the intimate scene happened, and then the fight scenes, I instantly became uncomfortable that they were in the theatre.

From what I've heard is that the blue chicks are basically topless expect for specially placed braids or something.

Frankly I don't see myself going to see this flick, because of the fact of the typical blame the white man shit. Seriously it's over done, and time for Hollyweird to come up with some new ideas. I've also heard people call this flick "Dances with Smurfs"

The plot is old and tired. Just go see it for the special effects alone ignore the rest. That's what I keep hearing anyways...

I thought It was a great movie, even though the plot has been done, its the first time its been done with giant aliens gunships and powered suits so... its not quite the same and it was 15 years in the making. I actually had only 1 problem with the movie... Michelle Rodriguez gets fucking killed!! very very sad but otherwise fucking wicked movie!!!

Well, if you watched that trailer, you know the over all plot to the movie. lol It's very simple, but that doesn't make the movie any less enjoyable. I loved the extremely realistic space craft right at the openning of the movie, I loved all the tech except the powered armor, I didn't like the look of it. The only other thing I didn't like was the obvious alien copy of native americans. I mean, they didn't need to be riding horse like creatures and screamin' like an old western the first time you see them, they could have tried coming up with a more original feel to the natives, with all the other original things in the movie, you'd think that'd of been easy.

I really liked the organic networking concept. That was a cool concept and quite original aswell. :) The effects we're unmatched, I even saw it in 3d, that simply blew my damned mind! Near the end when human Jake puts his hand on his womans face and she puts her hand over his, even though she's CGI, she looks real! It's almost flawless!

All an all, even better then I'd thought! 10/10

When I got a glimpse of the trailer I immediately assumed I wouldn't like it. I didn't really pay too much attention, figured no way would I be interested in blue people with tails.

I'm glad this thread was here, otherwise might have missed a very enjoyable movie. Sigourney Weaver's performance was my favorite.

    • ~~~~~ Yeah, thank you for the check-in.   Happy to say it was all a misunderstanding.  But she pulled out her "ghetto" and that's when things went South.  I get very professional minded when I enter into situations like that because when someone starts bring the court into conversations, I'm in court 2 times a year, every year, so don't go there with me because I will get legal all over you.   She did try to change what she thought she might have said, but I had to call her on it because it's all in written text.  Then she apologized and we were able to have a decent conversation.   I know I joke about me talking so much that people don't hear what I say except for keywords that they are looking for, but that is exactly what happened here.  She heard "payment", "money" and "help out".  It was crazy.  I literally had to have the entire conversation all over again, but I definitely condensed it to only address those 3 words.   Things are back on track, but I emphasized that if she every needed clarification for anything, please say something first instead of jumping to conclusions, then questioning that conclusion, then answering that conclusion, then getting upset at the answer and taking it out on someone who doesn't have a clue what the San Juan Hill just happened.   But this is exactly the reason I do everything with a paper trail.

    • I'm glad  that yesterday's day at work is long gone now. There was a very strong unusual energy that I felt, and couldn't get done with the day fast enough. It wasn't  the job at all. I just felt like I really needed to keep my mouth shut, to keep me from getting in situation(s) that probably wouldn't have ended well for me.
    • You can trust anyone you want.  The only question is whether or not they're deserving of that trust. No risk = no reward.  As such you have to let yourself be vulnerable sometimes and realize that all people will let you down eventually whether it's intentional or not.  The frequency that it happens is what's important.
    • Sorry, I don't check this as often as I should. Anyway document everything (although it sounds like @Trene4000already has been from her post.) It's okay to cry and break down, but not in front of them.  Never give them the satisfaction of seeing you crack.  If anything I'd go out of my way to piss them off, but I don't like being that guy either (and as such I'm not very good at it, except sometimes when I'm not intending to be.) I try to only help those whom deserve it, but that's often hard to judge.  Seeing how someone treats other people is a pretty good indicator of whether or not they're worthy.  Sociopathic narcissistic asshats are very much not worthy. I hope things are going well for you guys.
