Homicidalheathen
Ok well, I noticed I had a few of their songs on some compiliation cd's, and thought I would get a cd by them with my gift card, so I have ordered mirror conspiracy...I listened to some samples and its good. But what drew me to them...did you know when we went to war with Iraq they did a cease fire concert that drew attention from big brother, that they were threatened with a audit if they did the concert...by some ominous guy who showed up in a suit...then the next week...IT HAPPENED?? Also, they remain independent in Washington, where they still draw a large fan base, and that is usually unheard of.
Simon Bar Sinister
odd coincidence...I just turned on the television, and who should be on Austin City Limits right now but Thievery Corporation. They're going to rerun it at 3 AM, if you're still awake and near a TV set. Gnarls Barkley is on the 1st half of the show; TC closes.
MarsDustDoug
I really liked their "DJ Kicks" miz album which i believe is one of their first major releases they have. Mirror Conspiracy and Richest Man In Babylon are really good. (ps if you dig them you should listen to Andrea Parker. really good triphop and in the vein of Thievery. Her "DJ Kicks" and her own personal albums are some of my favs)
