This is some nasty weather we're having.. the humidity alone is killing me! I think I've only stepped outside only 2 or 3 times this past week. I mean, my aunt lives behind me and she opened her pool lastweek.. I went in once with the baby yesterday.. but it's way to hot for me to even walk over there.. gawd!

My plan of running after work has been shot to hell by this heat.  I'm doing the 5k race for the cure tomorrow morning, and it's going to be hellish.

I love it. I lived in Florida for a little bit, and never got used to the cold again...this is great. The only reason I don't like the humidity is because my hair gets frizzy and poofy. That is where a cute little doo-rag comes in handy. I hate AC. It makes my nose stuffy...I guess if I had a choice and it came down to it, I would rather be hot than cold......

I love how we complain that it's too cold in the winter, but then summer comes and we complain about it being too hot.....Where is the happy medium? Somewhere in Ohio I hear....

A lifelong Michigander before moving here, I never had a problem with the weather in Michigan. I mean, where else do you get to wear two completely different wardrobes in a single year?!?!?! :wink

Down here, it's been running around the high 80's all week, and it's just as humid here as it is in Michigan.

There's no escaping it down here. It doesn't cool off at night like it tends to in Michigan. And you don't want to go in the shade 'cause about a million ticks will jump off the trees onto you (don't even ask me where I had to pry some out of Jon after a woodlands expedition last week). And in direct sunlight, you're freaking microwaved.

No, I'll gladly return to the land extremes in the Magic Mitten that is Michigan.

My room on average is 6-11 degress hotter than it is outside. if it's 84 my room is 95.

I have to tolerate it, this is where my computer is. I have a window open and a twin window fan in it because the other window has a hole in the screen and thast just inviting bugs. We havve central air but it doesn't really do much except cool my back a little bit.

Also apparently there is a rat problem that just poped up in the area.

If I do, I expect MQ to be on the scene and rush me to the ER.

If that fails, that I promise you some quality haunting, Phee

I'm with Shade - I'll take cold over heat any day

as you may have seen me rant about before, i work outside, in full gear. this week has sucked. i dont even eat lunch til im about done with my day cause its too hot and id only feel ill and sluggish. this is about the weather i was talking about. 90 degrees and 80+% humidity! :drool:ralph (we need a damn angry smilie...).

oh yea, gimme that desert weather. 115 and dry as a bone...

ive been sweating my nutz off and hugging the dash of my truck to soak in AC between stops. i also have my 'Farmer Tan w/ Window Arm' kicking in full effect now.

i need to get an even tan, but i work too much to want to be outside when i get home and id probably scare people anyway.

and at home, while every room does have a ceiling fan, we only have 1 small window AC, and thats in front, in the kitchen. sleeping at night aint great, even with the window open (cracked only, in case of downpours). im seriously considering hitting the couch in the basement, only i know that id wake up stiff as hell (minds out the gutters! :p ). aint as young and resiliant as i used to be.

from 50s and 60s to 90s....welcome to michigan. :nut

I have no airconditioning at home

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I have no airconditioning at home, I have no air conditioning at work (Factory), I don't have a car (with or without air conditioning...at least if I HAD a car I could roll the windows down and catch some breeze that way), we live in a shitty neighborhood where we don't open our windows, I have hair to my ass (and a shitty attitude about haircuts), and don't own enough fans. Add all that to the fact that it has been close to 95 degrees every day here, with heat indexes in effect already, and things are sucking pretty hard for me. I can take a bath at, say...8pm, and by 10 I need another one.

The heat is just plain fucking rancid, and that is all there is to it.
