Raev
I'm going to share mine - and asking the rest of you to share your own tales of great justified revenge. I had a moment to get mine yesterday and enjoyed it GREATLY! So, last night I log into facebook to check it before bed and see I have a new message and friends request. No big deal, kind of common. I look at the friends request and see it's a girl I went to HS with. One that I had a MAJOR crush on and NEVER gave me the time of day. I'd try to talk to her and the best I'd get is a eyeroll. So, curiosity gets me. I click the message link. She's the one that sent me one. I read it and see she's pouring her heart out to me (15 years later). THE FACT THAT YOU WERE ANTI-SOCIAL AND KEPT TO YOUR SELF WAS WHAT I LIKED MOST ABOUT YOU I THOUGHT YOU WERE GORGEOUS BY THE WAY! was part of her message. I got a hearty laugh out of that. The message continues, with her attempting to flirt with me heavily and invites me out for a drink. Ah, how the fates turn at times. I looked at the pictures on her facebook, how she's become a sloppy ghetto loser with an army of children...and took pleasure in the following reply... I'm sorry darlin, seems a lot has changed in life. You have no idea how big of a crush I had on you in high school. That was high school though. I respectfully must decline your offer and say - I hope the rest of your life treats you as well as the last 15 years have. I went to bed with a smile. taysteewonderbunny
Summer of 2008, my ex-husband found me on facebook. Everyone who knew him whom I showed his letter was of the belief that he was fishing to see if I was still interested in him, especially as he was newly divorced (a second time). Instead, I took that opportunity to, very calmly, iterate the list of past grievances for which I would require of him allocution if not apology ere I'd accept him as even a tertiary member of my friendship circle. It wasn't vengeance, truly, but it was hugely satisfying--for all the time that he and I were together, I bit my tongue, for the most part, and did not stick up for myself for (the very realistic) fear of physical, financial, psychological, and sexual retribution. Then that he had no power over me, I could tell him plainly what was what. I did. It was liberating.

pomba gira
i would've just told him to fuck off I would've told him whatever I needed to, to make myself feel empowered and free of his influence. Which is exactly what Calix did.
taysteewonderbunny
I would've told him whatever I needed to, to make myself feel empowered and free of his influence. Which is exactly what Calix did. Thanks, gorgeous. Yeah, I could have told him to fuck off, but I know something that you do not know. His parents have legally adopted and are raising my daughter. If I was all bitchy to him, it might possibly have gotten back to them that I am a bitter and vitriolic cunt and I probably wouldn't have the chance to correspond with my daughter as I do now. Tact has purpose.
