I tried a new one...it's all cool & steam-punk-ish...

...I'll be in with a link later; I have to call a Brother for the name to the site, I forgot it...but, I am getting one...it even gives the tiny burn in the throat, like a real cig!

They have several (very) fruity flavors, grape, apple, peach... & I hear, are perfecting coffee flavor...they have regular taste as well.

Thanks for the info Rev! Do you know if you can buy the liquid that actually contains nicotine in the US? Apparently in Canada you can buy the cigs, but the liquids can't actually contain any nicotine here because "nicotine is addictive". I don't know why Canada considers it to be different from a nicotine patch, gum or Nicorette inhaler, but they do. I suppose they don't want to lose the tax dollars from cigarettes.

I just wonder how the dosage for nicotine goes for these things. I mean, if a filter is worth as many cigarettes as they advertise I would be afraid of going overboard without knowing it. Cigarettes, pipes, cigars, and hookah are OK by me but for some reason I don't like this. Just a warning but they have already included these in alot of areas that have bans. I don't know what they claim for the health aspect of these things but they say that the image is a slap in the face of the bans and isn't going to help the children learn...which makes PERFECT sense in a bar...where the are just a whole bunch of children...

If the dosage of nicotine is brought to light then I could really see these as a way to quit or something...but it just seems like such a gimmick with some hidden agenda behind it. Yeah I am paranoid when it comes to tobacco...

I still dont get what they are... Are they just as bad as regular smoking? or better??

They claim there are no carcinogens in them, there is no smell and since the only thing you are exhaling in water vapor smoking bans don't apply to it.

I know a dude who has one, and he has used it *in the building* at work. It doesn't even stink, all it lets off is steam vapor. He is using it to wean away from cigarettes. Safe, according to him, and works well.

Can't use them in the places I was at in Minnesota...can't use them in the towns that have the ban in Wisconsin...maybe Michigan is different. But I will admit that since I won't switch and I go to places that don't listen to the ban at all...this probably doesn't apply to me. But I really want to find out from the people that are opposed to these electronic cigs just how far that stick went up their asses...

Has anyone ever tried electronic cigarettes? I'm thinking about ordering one and I would like to know if anyone has given them a whirl and what they thought of them.

My bf has one. I love it. LOL no I don't smoke, but its odorless/harmless good for me :D

Only reason he stopped using it was because he ran out of cartridges and he's been to lazy to buy more, there expensive. But in the long run, well worth it. Defiantly a good buy I would say!

As for 'cartridges'...I know nothing...it's like $10 or something like that for the liquid that goes inside...NOT EXPENSIVE ;) ...I heard that 1 bottle CAN last up to a month...I will buy 2 ;)

I hear, those ecigs, (that look like cigarette) do not work to the 'same parameters'...ie. no burn in the throat...sissy-shit...certainly not worthy of MANFEST...

Hey I wasn't the one that plastered these things all over the news in the ban areas. It is about as much bullshit as the part where they banned smoking in cigar bars. Look, I like happy things like smoking and bunnies too...but honestly how am I supposed to react to a news story that deals with "the electronic cigarette invading ban areas" right after Family Guy? Yeah it does sound like bullshit but hell does it really sound like anything new for the government and news to be going on about?

If I can find one of these to try I will...but my pockets are not deep enough for this kinda thing right now...
