Anyone else watching the Senate race in Massachusetts?

Recommended Posts

I don't have time to watch it, but yesterday I did read this article.

http://market-ticker.denninger.net/archives/1866-Tuesday,-January-19th,-A-Seminal-Moment.html

He's very non-partisan most of the time, and usually has some very interesting points. The health care bill has metamorphosed into something nasty, it really is not the same type of public system they have in other countries.

...I just got the beans from John Stewart...HA!~

It is not much to watch, I'ld imagine...

...I'ld stop watching...the more they push it...the more of a distraction it is...

..what is it a smoke screen for?...that's what I'm wondering...

....course, it could just be a circus for our amusement....who was it that said,

"..bread & circuses..."

(edit: I fergot an r...BAD PIRATE!)

I loved how through the whole thing they were calling it "Ted Kennedy's seat" like he owned that shit or something...did he go into god-mode just for being a Kennedy? If that is how he operates its a good thing he died...otherwise everyone would just claim chairs as their own in Washington and squat there...that would suck.

Yeah... it was not his seat... it was a senate seat, the attitude that it somehow belonged to one party or another is kind of silly.

Just so I can poke fun at Ted...it probably still has his ass print in it or there may be evidence of them prying him out of it. Your ass prints your seat.

OMG! He won! She conceded with 89% of the votes counted. Brown had 52% of the vote and she had 47%.

this kinda bugs me, and makes me a bit suspicious - if this election was so important, why not wait for all votes to be in? a 3% swing in votes could have given a different result, and there was still 11% of the precincts uncounted.

anyone think she got paid to concede!? (just a thought, i personally don't know enough to say. just seems odd to me)

I think there is more then meets the eye.... but I am not sure if it is as sinister as this.

I was listening to NPR this morning about the fallout this might cause worldwide in regards to if the U.S. will now be able to help with environmental law and such, (since Republicans as of late have been more against environmental protection legislation then for it.) Basically a lot of the world is a bit disappointed that the U.S. will no longer be on board since most of the laws will now not pass in the Senate that would make it possible for the U.S. to be more environmentally conscious.

Ahh...not only is there the problem of voting along party lines but now we have the problem of voting for other countries...who the hell really cares? Our public image is warped beyond belief. What are we the world's puppet with the deepest pockets? Take the money and kick us in the nuts...we are used to it. The world can fall out all it wants but them might want to think about it before they do that because fall out is not good for the environment. But I guess the UN proved that the world works so well together that now more things are moving in that direction...

Just because a bill doesn't pass through doesn't mean that it was the perfect bill...ya ever think of that? Have you studied all the bills that didn't pass or did you just hear the buzz words that make it "good". Maybe...just maybe there is a problem with every single one of those fuckers no matter what party and maybe none of those bills are really what we need.

They just put another suit into another chair...this happens quite often and I fail to see how the outcome could ever be so...HOLY SHIT WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
