Wanted Bands, DJ's crew for this year's DEMF or Movement

This evening, we will be writing out the line up for Movement 2010's industrial/goth/electronic stage. We are going to have 3 national acts TBA very soon, and we need local bands, street team people, and DJ's that we will be rotating throughout the three day event. This is great exposure for everyone and a lot fo fun. If you are interested, be there at this meeting and or email me what you would like to do. We are setting the meeting up early in the evening so it wouldn't conflict with CC and the B-day party. The meeting will not last long but it has to be this Saturday. Also, fliers for the Valentine's party at CC will be out next week.

wow - I'd heard a rumor about this back around Thanksgiving, but totally blew it off. I get the weekend pass every year, so I know I'm in for a good time.

Oh yes, we are meeting, many of us in fact before CC tonight. If you are in a band or a dj, and you want to do the DEMF, you will either need to be at this meeting or contact me that you are interested today. I will be setting up tonight what bands and DJ's play on what days. We also will be deciding what national acts we will include

The meeting turned out great. We had a lot of people show up and put forth their feedback. I will be putting together the proposal this week for the stage. At this point, it's looking pretty good. We do need sponsors to help cover the costs of the national acts. If anyone has any ideas, contact me asap. It's gonna be a great weekend and I strongly encourage anyone and everyone to get involved. We are meeting again this coming Friday night at Clock restaurant at 8pm. Right now, we have somewhere around 44 people involved with the crew but can always use more. We will need people to help with promotion, stage crew, security, lighting, merchandise booth, etc. We're also talking about having the nights be a different theme: like goth/electronic Friday, industrial/rock Sat, EBM/noise Sunday, you get the picture. The stage area will be underneath Hart Plaza not on the lawn. This will give us a place to rig up some cool lighting effects. I will keep people posted on what's going on with all this. Things are looking good!
