Since none of them have any better ideas for improving our lot, I vote they shut the fuck up and let the people who actually give a damn get on with fixing things. It was the same with Bush, Dems bitched up and down about shit he did or didn't do. Same with Clinton. Shit flies both ways. The only thing is Republicans are not the only ones upset with Obama, many Dems are as well. Edited January 22, 2010 by KatRN05

Since none of them have any better ideas for improving our lot, I vote they shut the fuck up and let the people who actually give a damn get on with fixing things. Republicans and Conservatives DO have better ideas. The problem is that since the Democrats hold majority control of Congress, the Democrats choose not to Allow the Republicans into any conversations on bills. Either that or, every idea that comes from Republicans gets shot down. We don't hear about the majority of Republican ideas because the mainstream media outlets; like CBS,NBC,CNN,MSNBC, etc... are all in the tank for the Democrats and don't report on Anything the Republicans have to offer. They only talk about the Republicans opposition to what the Democrats want to do. Did anyone see how MSNBC covered Scott Brown's acceptance speech? They cut it off midway thru, and had anchors whining about how its the end of the world now that a Republican is in "Kennedy's" seat. And yes, if it was the other way around, if Republicans were in majority control of Congress, the Democrats would be the ones being accused of said whining. KatRN05
It wasn't Kennedy's seat to begin with. They should get over it. If they weren't so busy shoving a half-cocked health care reform bill down our throats they probably wouldn't have lost the seat to a Republican. pomba gira
"better ideas", yeah, for rich folks and big business... I will let H.P. Lovecraft speak for me here... As for the Republicans — how can one regard seriously a frightened, greedy, nostalgic huddle of tradesmen and lucky idlers who shut their eyes to history and science, steel their emotions against decent human sympathy, cling to sordid and provincial ideals exalting sheer acquisitiveness and condoning artificial hardship for the non-materially-shrewd, dwell smugly and sentimentally in a distorted dream-cosmos of outmoded phrases and principles and attitudes based on the bygone agricultural-handicraft world, and revel in (consciously or unconsciously) mendacious assumptions (such as the notion that real liberty is synonymous with the single detail of unrestricted economic license or that a rational planning of resource-distribution would contravene some vague and mystical 'American heritage'…) utterly contrary to fact and without the slightest foundation in human experience? Intellectually, the Republican idea deserves the tolerance and respect one gives to the dead. * Letter to C.L. Moore (August 1936), quoted in "H.P. Lovecraft, a Life" by S.T. Tell me, if you can, how having the cost of your heat and electricity triple; paying 3x what you pay now, would make your life better? For example, if you are paying $50/electricity for your home now, under the Cap and Trade legislation, you would be paying $150/month. Cap and Trade is a bill that was concieved by the Democrats. Our national debt is $14 Trillion dollars!!! And the Democrats want to spend More!!??? How is bankrupting our country going to make our lives better ???? Batten down the hatches!!! Not only that, but a woman that actually cares about her constituents and acts on their behalf, and and Listens to them too!!<--oh god the horror of that! You didn't exactly clarify in your initial comment what you were referring to in regard to her being in charge other then general fear of it, your comment left room for interpretation. Barack Obama appoints people like Tim Geithner, and Janet Napolitano, and you think Palin is an idiot??? Come on now. Take a look at what Palin did for Alaska. Seriously look. Then truthfully tell me you still think she's an idiot. She's not part of the political machine, she believes in actually answering questions from the heart. That Katie Couric interview was a gotcha, entrapment interview. If that's your opinion of her Rev, then so be it, you're entitled to your opinion, as am I. I just feel that if you knew the facts without the political spin, you would feel differently. How much deeper of a hole does this country have to fall into, to finally get people to realize the Democrat agenda is wrong for us ?

I am not in need of the 'REPUBLICRAT-AGENDA' that I have seen as a two-party-charade I have been watching them bicker-&-lie...& I'm supposed to TRUST THEM to LEAD...? Oh_My_Goth
It seems to Me that the majority of peoples opinions are based purely on the media.. Which is skewed. Everyone is up in a tissy because the media wants them to be.. I don't care what fraking "party" is in charge, the media will always play one against the other. Does anyone really know what's going on?? For real! I doubt it. The media wants you to keep looking at the dancing monkeys throwing poop at each other and be entertained.. They want the public to have something bitch and moan about so they stay distracted and pacified so we never really know what is actually going on. **This is just my opinion on the subject {I generally don't even get involved in these conversations, but the title caught me eye }
