Well I am a BBW.

Until I lose the weight I have to find the limited selection of gothic attire available to me. Even my favourite store Torrid really has become more mundane recently. Their selection at the moment is not making me happy. Anyways I wanna hear your thoughts and see your photos. Fashion tips, stores, ideas, maybe a clothings exchange for gothic gals who are losing weight , gaining weight and wanna swap clothes because when you go to Sally Army(salvation army) you notice there is not much of a selection of used goth gear especially for the larger lady.

So please appreciate, admire and share anything on this subject of Big Beautiful Goths!

I got it from Torrid. Thats old like 3-4 years. I am in need of a ardrobe upgrade.

You and I both.... I just had a kid, so my figure has changed, once again. It IS very hard to find things. My biggest problem ~ chest, hips, and thighs. Though I've found that designing my own clothes helps me get EXACTLY what I want. ^_^

I am a big gal. I have no problems with being a big gal. I do my best, to stay healthy with my curves. Oblivious, I am not health nut. My Gothic clothes are none. When I do go to City Club, which is rare, I just wear my normal black clothes. I am introvert that really need to work on get out more. So , I have no suggestions to where find clothes or give clothes.

Thank you. Well designing your own is great but it can be just as expensive as buying designer even designer goth lol. Tripp costs quite a bit. but I hope this forum will be a great place for bbwgs andpeople who admire them to talk about it. I am glad being that the gothic community is more acceptable of whatever type of shape or zie color you are. Thats one thing I think that sets our community far above the rest is our acceptance of others. So I can relax and be myself.I also figured if people are gonna stare at me might as well give them more to stare at lol.

HolyClothing= godlike. Gorgeous, well-made, comfortable clothes, reasonable prices, very responsive to their customer base. My current closet stats: five skirts, two dresses, five tops. One caveat- their skirts are LONG, and most have fancy hemline details so they have to be shortened from the waist.

This one comes in a shitload of colors (like most HolyClothing pieces) and is only $23 in misses, $36 in plus.

After pricing fabrics and decent thread at jo anns recently I have decided that with the work involved...it just isn't worth it...coarse I suck at sewing.

I admire people who can create their own clothes.

Yes, I'm starting to dabble in making my own clothing again because nothing ever fits me right. I've found out that I'm not thin, not fat, not busty, not flat, not a girl, not a boy, not tall, not short...I'm shapes. Yes, shapes. Not sure what kind, but whatever kind I am they don't carry it anywhere .

I hear ya.. Nothing fits Me right EVER.. I am very curvy & if something fits Me waist it does not fit my tits or hips and vice versa.. I can't even buy a standard corset.. I have to get it specially made

I am not BBW.. But I would imagine it is more difficult at that point to find stuff cuz most Goth stuff is pretty standard sizes.

Holyclothing.com does indeed rule. I have 2 dresses of theirs, and theyre gogreous, well made, and have very clear sizing info.

Finding good Goth clothes can be quite a challenge for the larger woman. Thanks for the Holyclothing link, so far it looks promising. The internet is really great resource for eccentric clothing. However, your imagination is even better. Look for regular clothing that you can modify or accessorize yourself. I'm not big into sewing because I don't really like it, nor am I any good at it but I do simple modifications. I have a lot of ideas in my head that never come out due to a lack of time for that kind of thing but maybe one day.

I'm what doctors would call obese, but then again, I've had people guess I weighed 150 without a doubt, and almost died from surprise to find out I weigh around 185-190...(could be less I dunno, I killed my scale)

I"m doing a lot to lose weight, and I'm succeeding...

But I'd really like to fit into clothing that I don't want to have to wait for months to enjoy.

While I know my opinion here really means little; since I am far from fashionable, not a big beautiful goth woman (I'm actually a terribly thin guy, shhh!)...but I do agree with her. I love seeing peoples imaginations at work when it comes to clothing. Hell, on this board we have some women who are AMAZINGLY good at making things and it's always fun people watching, when you can see self expression in every aspect of a person. How they walk, talk, their skin, their clothes..I love it.

(btw, I so wish I could be bigger. I am so envious. I honestly am.)
