Koffin Kats, Blood Bricks N Booze, The Phage, Nuke & The Living Dead and Koffin Kats

Recommended Posts

Yes, Tommy Koffin is leaving the Koffin Kats. He simply cannot continue to tour with the shape his back and knees are in. While Tommy is going to be sorely missed, they already have a new guitarist from Alberquere, NM, EZ Ian. They have all been fans of his for years, and have all agreed that he would be perfect to continue the Koffin Kats legacy.

There will NEVER be a replacement for Tommy, and EZ Ian is not seeking to do that. It is simply part of a band evolution. Anyone in the Pychobilly scene, and into Detroit bands in general, have great respect and luv for Tommy Koffin. He will be a KK forever.

P.S. Doug, tell Vic I'll see him March 20th, @ NyNy. I simply cannot make it out to Ypsi that night.

my brother went to school with a drummer they had. We found out they were playing here in st. pete fl so i got like 8 people to go all with pistons jerseys on. it was fu#$%*^ halarious. ther was like 40 psycho billy types jammed against one half of the floor and this big open area on the other half of the floor were me and like 5 cohorts in detroit gear were all white and pasty drunk throwing each other through furniture laughing. the floor was like 40 square feet. it was funny to see 30 people dressed so wild crammed into that little space with all the open area around us. anytime we even looked over there a wave of people would look down at the floor. we would just keep drinking gin kamakazee and laugh with our heads back. I did feel bad that they were so scarred all wedged up against the wall like that. it's not like we were waving guns around or something. 5 people in a 20 x 20 space and 30 people in a 20x20 space volentearily. the koffin kats were a little shocked to see so much home town support away from home but they hung out with us before the show. i'll allways go see those guys Some of my best friends grew up with some of those guys so i feel a home town pride and i try to promote when i hear about a show. So go see em, Get rowdy and lit and tear shit up. dress funny and through your buddy through some funiture at there show it's fun as hell.

IT WAS! it sold out around 915.

It was a GREAT show. everyone was singing and dancin around. Even the end got a little emotional as Tommy said goodbye. Silly String even got involved. There are TONS of pics being put up all around. Diana Price has some of the best. A video was shot too that im interested in seeing!
