Recommended Posts

I just know all the stored start selling yummy 4839037549494478 calorie donuts and I eat them. It's funny how it's spelled and pronounced COMPLETELY different.

But WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY is that!????

I would like to know.

I too am part polish and don't know.

Out here I hear the grocery store commercials all saying come get your Poochkey! .......Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo Annoying!!!!

Oh believe me, if you talked to anyone who has gone to MANFAST you would know that MANFAST, and every other event I try to come up with, is basically Fat Tuesday under the guise of something else.

I easily ate 2-3 lbs of bacon at MANFAST...and that's JUST the bacon. That's not the six burgers, like five steaks, fish, chicken, eggs, sausage, and the ENTIRE slab of ribs I had to myself.

Come to my events and I will make you get your buzz on and then I will feed you until you're sick.

OMG FOOD I HEARD SOMETHING ABOUT LOTS OF FOOD I ATE LIKE A LB OF LASAGNA AND HALF A SHEET CAKE TO MYSELF ONCE I LOVE FOOD and um i have no clue where this is but i want to go and i have to work till 2ish so um an address and if im allowed to b late than sounds good

Some Polish letters are prononunced differently in combination than they would be prononunced in English. I just wish my grandma wouldn't have renounced our heritage to be "American." As far as she was concerned we weren't Polish Americans, just American and we only needed to know English. I cringe anytime people say "this is America, speak English" because that mindset stopped my grandma's kids and myself from learning Polish from her.

Fat Tuesday? It will be in Hamtramck next Tuesday, Feb 16th. If you're talking about MANFAST that is next summer the weekend before my birthday (my birthday is July 12th). For more info on that, PM me, we don't take reservations for it until late March but I can still give you a rundown. I'm going to say, unofficially, that MANFAST that I run and DGN Appreciation Night which Raev runs in the fall (which I know you were at this year) are DGN's two biggest and most epic events.

I too will be in the Ham-town tomorrow, oh wait of course I will. I live there.... yeah bad joke

Anyway, for those of you interested that will be in Hamtramck, I am getting a group of people to go on our annual fat tuesday bar hoping adventure throughout the day. We will be starting around 2pm and going till we can't go any longer. All the bars that we will be hitting are all within walking distance so no need to worry about driving.

If interested PM me.

How to distinguish from a doh'nut:

~has the general size and shape of a baseball

~filled to near bursting capacity (thus, a Degree in Fracture-Mechanics is a pre-req for baking one)

~MUCH richer batter (thus allowing it to be filled to previously stated capacity)

~Blessed by authentic Polish ambiance (an old Pol-lock with an ancient Polka-playing keyboard will suffice, in most cases)

~Made by someone who actually likes their job =P

~Made by people with incredibly dated senses of humour (that still somehow etches a smile across one's face, no matter how corny it sounds)

Unless they were home made or from Hamtramck they were just a jelly doughnut. Big difference on how they are made and taste.

Mine are from Hamtramck...all thirty-six of them :yes . I don't do it any other way. Today's wait was not that bad, I got parking I think around 2:15 and really it was crowded because there were tons of bar-hoppers. When I got to New Palace the wait was maybe only 30-45 minutes. We still have maybe 20 left.
