Spring is in the air...

Recommended Posts

Anyone going on any trips...any REAL LIVE births going to happen...marriges planned, home repairs...maybe a dream you kept tucked away forever that your now going to work on?

Just curious what everyone will be doing this summer BESIDES clubbing and blogging...which is...no life.

Seriously,

I plan to get a canoe and go from one end of the clinton river to the other....maybe not all in one day...but this has been a dream of mine for awhile...although I believe its a bit um illegal...that is my goal. I have always wanted to do this and now that I have grown to hate weights and bars (arm muscle) the canoe will whip me in shape this summer. Might go white water rafting as well...

Anyone else?

Any trips out of state planned? Visiting an old friend, a family reunion?

Well I'll be going camping this summer, like we do every year. We're going to a new campground though. Last summer we got attacked by mosquitos and sand fleas we think. Jake ended up getting sick from the bites and I was one giant itch..

..but I tell you nothing beats campside tacos!

Candyman, good luck and be safe! You're about to enter as surreal a world as can be. And I say that in a good way, having been in uniform myself.

I myself am getting one last really hardcore lacrosse season with my team here in Cincinnati before I move to Grand Rapids. I'll know it was good if I'm all bruised and battered and barely able to walk by the end of July.

I am going to New Orleans next weekend to run a Half Marathon. Will probably do another in Chicago (and possibly make another trip back there just to visit relatives in that area). Will be doing my first full marathon in October (Detroit) followed by another 2 weeks later in Virginia. (Marine Corps!) Still thinking about doing Dragon*Con in September, considering going to TAM in Las Vegas, but only if I get the cash to do so before the tickets for that are sold out.

And to follow Nate, good luck Candyman. While I have not been in the military myself, my sister, brother-in-law, grandfather, and 2 uncles, not including several cousins that are either in or were in the military at one time.
