soothsayer
I may be the only one hear that is into this but while downloading some tunes I stumbled upon a few Beatles rare studio recordings. In one of the songs you can hear Paul McCartney talking about the chord progression of the song while strumming his guitar. Cool stuff to me anyway. I love finding alternate takes of well known songs or even recordings where the band might fuck up. Ok, I'm such a geek about that stuff. :laughing
Fierce Critter
I bought those CD collections that came out some years ago with all the outtakes & alternate versions. When I'm super-into a group, I'll buy about anything they come out with that's different, particularly when they've already broken up. Once I'm over the momentary fanaticism, however, I let such stuff go. I sold those CD's shortly after listening to them maybe twice through. I find such things interesting when I'm interested in playing a particular band's songs, too. I actually took lessons to learn how to finger pick "Blackbird", and I think there are alternate versions on those outtake CD's. So that was enjoyable. soothsayer
Wow FC I had no idea you were into The Beatles. Very cool. Also I didn't know you played guitar, that's cool too. I learned norweigen wood and have been able to learn how to sing it at the same time, it wasn't easy. I think I'm gonna look into this collection for myself.
