Joey Deadcat
Really? Haven't seen Henry? Man, I think that's the only film to ever really leave me creeped out. I could swear I was pale after that! A very disturbing film. And, yeah, Man Bites Dog was definitely not horror; more of a black comedy. And I never considered Nekromantik horror. A macabre film, actually.

Thank you for agreeing on Man Bites Dog though, I hear it called a horror way to often and it starts to irritate me. same with Irreversable and In My Skin. phee
I agree there is a difference between scary, horrifying and a "horror movie" Man bites dog was disturbing but not a horror movie.... I am REALLY HAPPY to see Exorcist 3 on this list.... great movie.

I am REALLY HAPPY to see Exorcist 3 on this list.... great movie. That is one of the big things that erk me when talking about film. Horror and disturbing are different. If Disturbing was horror, I guess we should put all the war movies ever made in there because alot of war vets are disturbed by them right? Same goes for thriller ad horror. Big difference between Mothman Prophecies and Texas Chainsaw... meh @ marsdustdoug- It is a cool list, I hope you check out more of the movies on there. Joey Deadcat
And Henry I never really considered horror but then I suppose it could be. And Ichi is a fun, over-the-top action kinda flick! Thought the scene with the guy...splitting...was pretty cool.

God Darnit, now I want to see Henry even more... -_-
Joey Deadcat
"Splatter" or "splatterpunk" - those haven't been used much. Would actually fit Ichi and other bloody Japanese and German films. Another disturbing and macabre film that sometimes gets put under "horror" is The Reflecting Skin with Viggo Mortensen. If you've never seen it check it out! Kinda leaves you with a weird, uncomfortable feeling afterwards. But if you want one that will (a bit off the horror track) I would recommend the film "Happiness"
