http://abcnews.go.com/WN/glenn-beck-social-justice-christians-rage-back-nazism/story?id=10085008

ABC has been in the tank for the Left for a few years now, so articles like this one are no surprise.

They took his comments out of context and are just slinging mud; that's all this is.

Did you read the article? ABC didn't put words in Beck's mouth. He really told Christians to leave their churches if the words "social justice" appears on their websites and equated it to communism or Nazism. (I think he meant fascism.)

Kind of hard to slant that yes.... that is what he said.

I actually understand what he's trying to say, I think he's just taking it a bit far. He's talking about "social justice" as a redistribution of wealth which, yes, is against everything I'm against UNLESS it is fully 100% charitable and it didn't have to be forcibly stolen (i.e. taxes) from people.

Exactly...thank you Chernobyl

well, the money that publicly built and maintains roads could be counted as "forcibly stolen" by your definition, so don't drive anymore, mmkay?

...and fuck Glenn Beck. 100% ignorance on full display, just like every other time he opens his mouth. Ever hear the phrase, "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven"?

Jesus said that. fucking socialist bastard.

Yeah...but I use the roads. So no, it's not forcibly stolen. If it's for the betterment of the community as a whole then it is not being forcibly stolen but if it's for funding stupid shit like unemployment extensions, cash assistance (i.e. welfare), health care reform and banker bailouts? Yeah, those assholes stole my money.

umm, you defined taxes as money that was "forcibly stolen", not me.

Rofl, I kinda Glenn Becked that one, didn't I?

No...stupid taxes that only go to serve a select portion of society are "forcibly stolen". I put wealth distribution in with that. Taxes should only fund what EVERYONE in the country either uses or has the right/priviledge of using, if they're being used for anything else, I consider it stolen money.

I also don't believe the government should make charitable contributions to anything, even if it is a "good cause", unless they have written consent from evvvvvery damn taxpayer in the nation. Charity should weigh on the heart of the individual. It is not up to the government to take money by way of taxation and give it to others when that money was not theirs to begin with, no matter how charitable it may seem. Forcing people to give to charity is not charitable.

Problem is there is a can of worms that might be opened here if taken too far. The select portion of society seems far away until something happens and you find yourself in the select portion and need the help.

MY THOUGHT...

Everyone deserves food clothes, & shelter...if they don't want to work for it...we SHOULD give it to them...

...IF...they want to not work, for more than a year (schooling to better your position because 100,000 jobs were phased out, counts)...they give up their vote. ;)
