Psychedelic Furs announce 25-date North American tour to begin in late May

Recommended Posts

After touring the U.S. last year in a somewhat odd paring with the Happy Mondays, New Wave icons Psychedelic Furs return to North America from late May through early July with a 25-date club tour.

Richard Butler and Co. will open the trek May 27 in Orlando, Fla., and then cross the U.S. — dipping into Canada for a show in Toronto in early June — before wrapping up with a trio of Texas dates in late June and early July.

After splitting in the early ’90s, the Furs reunited in 2000 and have toured periodically since then. However, in large part because the band has no official Web presence, it’s difficult to tell whether the group is working on any kind of follow-up to 1991’s World Outside.

May 27: Hard Rock Hotel, Orlando, FL

May 28: Levelz, West Melbourne, FL

May 29: Masquerade, Atlanta, GA

could be fun...but I'm going to wait and see who else is on the bill before I buy a ticket. I saw the tour they did with Echo & the Bunnymen about 7 years back. great shows by both bands - but the crowd were a bunch of dicks.

Im sure the bands made up for it.

Good stuff. I missed them last they were here because I was broke. I need to catch em this time around.

As a side note, I also noticed they are playing in Baltimore, MD at Ram's Head Live and if anyone is there at that time for the show or in Baltimore for any show, Ram's Head Live is an amazing club to see shows. I've seen Peter Murphy, Tricky, and Helloween there. Sound and acoustics are top shelf.

We could show up early, punch him in the face and tell him he's no Ian Curtis! :p Just sayin...

Fuck yea we could....I get so angry when people compare them to Joy Division -_- If he ever started to Ian dance...oh man I would just go nuts.
