The feds cannot mandate someone buy a product if they don't want to.

I know esp when there are several million out of work,I wonder if they have enough prison space for over 250 million people(sarcasm)we are a fascist nation IMO.

Unfortunately they can mandate that we buy something if we don't want to (or maybe fortunately in a few rare cases). There are all sorts of examples of this, from the existing requirements for various certifications/codes/safety equipment/social security etc to different types of insurance that are already required.

In 1935 when social security was activated they did exactly that, "robbed peter to pay paul". This is similar, but much less sweeping than that was.

There is , and has been a slow shift in human culture toward collectivism and short term , very significant backlashes against it. Some of the byproducts of that tend to be various types of state control over the individuals use of resources.

Car insurance was a states issue, and driving is a privilege not a right.

I'm not trying to suggest that i LIKE the concept, it just is what it is.

Sure there are ways around such things, but from an realistic understanding of the idea, the list of ways the govenment "forces" payments is legion. Either on the front end, the back end or any number of variations in between. Unless perhaps we want to get into a philosophical discussion about the nature of "making" someone pay is. I mean in the end we can just leave the country if we don't like it, fake our actual income levels, property ownership, dig for some loophole or commit suicide etc. But i doubt we are talking about such extreme measures of avoiding giving money we don't want to to the government. There is a long list of "required" governmental payments, either in the form of direct payments, taxes, various types of insurance that we pay for realizing it or not.

Perhaps you think I'm missing the term "fed" you your above post? It wasn't meant as an insult. I think I understood what you meant. Its just a fact, not an opinion that the government can make you pay regardless if you want to or not. The federal government has more robust powers to make us pay than the state or local governments do (all of which like to cornhole us from time to time). Again not saying that I LIKE that, nor am I trying to be rude or mean or anything its just reality.

One way I especially like is of them increasing the money supply. Some wise-ass bought off economists try to say this ISN'T ripping us off but it really is. Immediately making me pay for any BS they want by taking away the value of my currency and using it for whatever. Theres a lot of smoke and mirrors involved, but... Ugh.
