Raev
I am at work right now. A short time ago, I was talking to an older Slavic man. He looked at the ring on my right hand and said - "In my country, we put men like you to death. That ring on your right hand made you an enemy. The government told us you were the ones that caused us to lose in WWII. You were why our country was destroyed. You were why I lost my parents and had to flee to America. In my country, I'd see you put to death" That kind of is bothering me. Upset me a bit, though I know it shouldn't. I know better than he does...but...it upsets me that there are people like that. So, it got me to wondering. What's the most fcked up thing someone has said to you? Edited April 3, 2010 by Raev edited profanity

KatRN05
Had a patient who went into cardiac arrest and despite our efforts, the patient wasn't responding to any interventions and remained asystole, basically a state in which there is no electrical activity in the heart. We worked on the patient for well over an hour and after the doctors pronounced the patient deceased, the family came back and proceeded to call us all murderers because we stopped CPR. They were upset over the loss of their family member so I couldn't really take it personally and hold it against them. They did apologize after though. freydis
One of the worst things ever said to me was said by my father. He was trying to take custody of my brother and I from my mother.... i was about 12 or 13, my brother was 8 or 9. He was saying horrible things about my mom, that she was doing immoral things like having sex in front of us (which of course was a lie). At the same time, he was trying to force my mom to buy out his half of the house early, so he'd have money. She wasnt supposed to have to pay him for it until my brother turned 21. I asked him why he was trying for custody of us when he knew we didn't want to live with him. He said "Because I know you kids are the only thing that will make your mom give me my money." It was the only true and honest thing my father ever said to me. I have refused to see him ever since that day.

TygerLili
I can't post the worst thing anyone ever said to me because it would be a violation of the "no calling people out" site rules... People have said lots of really rude things to me over the years working my various customer service and medical jobs. Most of the time I didn't really give them a second thought because the people who said them were sick/upset/whatever, and what they said really wasn't about me, but one kind of stands out to this day. Several years ago I was working retail in a department store, and a man came in to try to return something with no receipt. Per our policy, without a receipt you could only exchange the item for store credit toward another item in the amount of the lowest sale price on that item within the last 90 days. I explained this to him and he flipped out. First he demanded that I make an exception for him. Then when I explained that we have to treat all customers the same, and even if I wanted to, I couldn't do that because the cash registers won't process a return without a receipt, he said "Wow, that's pretty sad that you're too dumb to be able to do anything without a computer. You young people today are all so stupid." He kept making similar comments for the next 15 minutes while he picked out another item and I rang up the transaction, trying to get me to argue with/yell at him, but I just gave him the death glare and silently processed the exchange. This actually makes me curious as to exactly what ring you were wearing if it wasn't a wedding ring. Was it just the fact that it was on your right hand? Was it possibly.. wait.. I'll pm you with that question... Most screwed up thing I've been told was when one of my ex's (not an ex at the time but why i made her an ex) called me a pedophile.. I laughed right in her face as she was like 10 years older than me, then told her, "Ok, you're older than me by how many years and you're gonna call me that? WTF you're retarded, goodbye!" And dumped her on the spot.
~Tszura~
When the movie Young Guns II came out, I was 16. I saw it in the movie theater, and was really enjoying it up until the end when Billy the Kid reached for his gun in bed after he had slept with a lovely looking lady. The suggestion, of course, was that the woman stole his gun, and some douche wang behind me said, "Just like a Mexican woman." I was 16, and at that time I was trying to find myself between two families, and two cultures. As we get older, we can take insults better, so while this certainly isn't the worst thing that has ever been said to me, or in my presence, I remember it hurting like hell at the time. And so in the spirit of Deadwood, I forever deem that douche wang a "co#ksucker!"

Michi
Well it's pretty close between either the whole someone saying they couldn't care about me if I were dead, or that they had no interest in talking with me and didn't want to have anything to do with my life :/ Eh, fuck 'em! IsleofRhodesEnt
Worst to me: "I don't want anything to do with you anymore, which is WHY I caused the miscarrige."...now, add +2 to that...as in been said to me three times...diff women... Worst thing said to my brother "Any child you have will be a fucking monstrosity because of that whore you call a wife and when you go over to Afghanistan, I hope you never return." This will be causing someone to meet a wall real soon....and that just so happens to by my youngest brother.
phee
I really don't like being told that I am not trying when I am trying really hard.... depends on the context of course... but that will pretty consistently make me feel hurt.
torn asunder
not the worst, but one that sticks out to me is this time i got in a pretty serious car accident when i was still a teenager, i think. i spent several hours in the hospital, but i didn't know what had happened to the other guys. i was sitting at home the next day (still very stiff from the accident, possibly with a concussion & 110 stitches in my face) & got a phone call from someone asking to speak to me, specifically. i think it was my sis who handed me the phone, and when i said hello, a voice on the other end of the line told me that they wanted to let me know that the other two people involved in the accident had died at the hospital. i was completely devastated, couldn't stop crying. i found out a little later (not sure if it was that day or the next) that it had been a prank call. i guess someone got my name from the paper & found my ma's number or something. the guys were pretty seriously injured, but were most definitely still alive. i never understood why someone would want to do that...
