i'm heading over a little early tomorrow (saturday) to drive through some of the areas mentioned. if anyone wants to join me, send me a pm & we can exchange #'s. figure i should be there around 3pm. i might also be able to do some "scoping" later sunday afternoon...

thought i'd bump this, as i'm really in need of some good realtor contacts, ones who are experienced with the ins & outs/paperwork/tax issues/etc involved with buying a foreclosure.

i just found out my eligibility amount for unemployment, and even when combined with the part-time job i have, i'm not going to be able to make my bills. i also don't have anything else i can cut out that would make up the hundreds of dollars' income/expense gap, so if i can't find something full-time within the next few weeks, i need to seriously start looking for a place over there.

any help/contact info regarding trustworthy realtors you might be able to offer would be more than greatly appreciated.

thanks.

put in a few more apps, a couple in wixom, one in rochester hills, one right in madison heights, but haven't heard from *anyone*. also, no realtor contacts yet, so i haven't been able to look at any more houses.

for now, i've been getting enough hours with this part-time job to keep me going, but i still don't know, week to week, whether i'll be working or not, and whether i'll be able to make bills.

veeeerry frustrating.

so, anyone know how bad/long a drive it would be to canton, from the general vicinity of royal oak/ferndale/mad heights, in reality? (not based on google maps, but actual/typical drive times...) googlemaps says 35-40 minutes...

That probably is about the right time...I'd say 40 minutes, maybe.

It takes me 20-25 minutes to get to that area from my house...but I have to go a little ways just to get to 696. But it's pretty much a straight highway drive from Canton to those areas and traffic isn't too bad unless its around rushhour, which is expected.
