I think its safe to say that I am a mixture of Mr. X (Eraserhead) and Frank Booth (Blue Velvet).

I always liked the feel of his vision of Dune myself. Dark and grim. And supposedly Herbert saw it and was OK with it.

Though the extended version gives a lot more background. Though I do miss Virginia Madsen's voice in voice overs.
