New Wolfsheim related project - Comfortable Cave Goodbye

Figured a few of you may be into this bit of news...

Comfortable Cave Goodbye is the newest project by Markus Reinhardt (Wolfsheim). The track "Travel In Time" was recorded together with singer Pascal Finkenauer. You can get the synthpop song for free download for the next 3 weeks right below.

The project is signed to the Another Place label, Reinhardt's answer to the Wolfsheim split and the legal battle for the Wolfsheim name that followed. Listeners will notice that Finkenauer's vocals are very close to that of the former Wolfsheim singer Peter Heppner albeit more pronounced. All in all an excellent track that should please every Wolfsheim fan.

From April 30th on "Travel In Time" and "Travel In Time (jf's JAW remix)" will be available as digital release only in all major online stores. And for those who don't know Pascal Finkenauer, the singer released the English sung electro album "No blue peril" with his band JAW in 2000. "Creature of the Masquerade" often see's play at City Club) And surprise surprise, JAW used to integrate theater and poem lectures into their concerts. Anyone hear a Peter Heppner link coming up?

I'd have to say that I prefer it to the Heppner solo work I've heard. Still... it's just not the sheim without him.

Lyrics are shit though. This is a bastardized version of the words to "Approaching Lightspeed" off the last proper Wolfsheim album.

Oh, and what a retarded new band name. Oh well. It's STILL miles better than VNV's last effort.
