TitsMcGee
If the other one blows too like they thing it will, we will probably have another cool summer because of all the ash in the atmosphere.

Gaf The Horse With Tears
"The Earth is destroying itself with carbon emissions!" A friend of mine's facetious post on Facebook. Does make you wonder how long it would take man to produce the same amount of CO2 and other "greenhouse" gases as this eruption is throwing into the atmosphere. Nightgaunt
I would like to know what Al Gore thinks about all this... He's locked himself away in seclusion, trying to come up with a way to tax the volcano.
Hellion
Hopefully in the future they can design a plane engine that is resistant to volcanic ash, also volcanic ash is extremely harmful to the lungs. Years ago Iceland stopped a volcanic lava flow from destroying a city,by pumping water on it from the ocean,it actually worked, there might be a video of it on YouTube,it occured in the 70s,amazing footage.unfortunatley this video does not show the actual lava being diverted, this is footage of the city of Heimaey during the volcano eruption. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX9e9ei6v3s&feature=youtube_gdata Edited April 17, 2010 by Hellion
Epic_Fail_Guy
He's locked himself away in seclusion, trying to come up with a way to tax the volcano. I would like to make one comment, though it's been proven that Al Gore is a fraud (or at very least his "workers" fed him fraudulent information) about global warming... I wont knock him for "stretching the truth... or outright lying" (Gaf.. don't comment, for one, i blocked you, for two, i'm describing this as WHETHER HE'S TRUE OR FULL OF SHIT) The comparison is sorta irrelivant since, natural occurances like thsi happen over the span of many years, an average. Our polar caps are overdue for a shift, that much has been proven. Whether it causes global "warming" or "cooling" is up to anyone's theory. To Long Didn't read; How is a volcanic eruption natural to the eco system that happens in under a year supposed to be compared to our own pollutions? Both are "bad" I'll agree, but it's sorta like how you take a bandaid off, slow and painful, or quick and painful? What we gotta stop thinking is, how we rather have it, but what's best for the survival and most productive of life as we know it. Because as it looks, we're gonna have "global change (cooling, or warming) with or without our help. What comes down to it, is how much are we willing to add onto the factor? At this point, whether it be warming or cooling, what we're doing now is only intensifying the likely outcome, not countering it.

Reaper
Wow, someone doesn't understand humor. I think alot of stuff on this website can be related to sarcastic humor. Thats why I don't take opinions to heart, so I don't get mad at people for what they say. I disliked what you had to say when Bush was in power, but didn't take it personally. Now that Bush is out, I get to hate on another president and other ex-VPs that are cronies lol.
